I wanted to think of a way to say thank you for RP'ing out that whole thing yesterday. It's something I've wanted to do for a while, but I wasn't entirely sure of the response I was going to get.
And to everyone else... Roleplay with this Divine. Seriously. This is the most interaction I've had from a Divine in a long time, and it's nice to see some actually interested in influencing the more personal side of the game.
I also wish that more of the Divine were interested in speaking with the players as a whole. I know the Divine are busy, but it's something that really makes a difference to the game. My involvement in Orders, and learning about the Divine is what has shaped my char, and my joy with Lusternia originally.
Unfortunately, in recent months (Even making allowances for the holidays), Divine involvement (RP wise, not event wise) outside the Orders has seemed to be on a downfall, and I'm wondering if it's because of lack of response from the playerbase, or just Divine burning themselves out.
But back to my original point.

I 've seen Elcyrion around and he likes to chat on the Serenwilde channel. I would try and join his order but it would be against my IC obligations.
Shiri2005-12-31 01:47:32
Elcyrion always impressed me actually. I still think of him as the first IC anti-war guy who actually considered his PoV and made some coherent points. One of the best Divine I've seen in IRE so far - and I'm not in His order either.
Nymerya2005-12-31 01:58:19
I think that's where a lot of Divine over the realms miss out. Divine take what they represent to heart. For example... a God of War=Smash. But... they start wars for the sake of wars, and put no thought into the -why- of it, the strategic planning. Or being a God of Learning... without having a Library.
I don't know, I guess what I was curious about was if other people could think of more ways to get the Divine involved in a RP sense, and less in a 'I want an Event' sense.

I am in his Order.. and you are all missing out. He's one of the most active divine I have ever seen and he talks to me more than (gasp) Scarlatti did. Yes, he is the best divine ever.. even if he likes to tease me at every available opportunity.
Nymerya2005-12-31 02:08:14
Lots of other Divine have RP merit. Viravain and Shikari are both excellent, but unfortunately, neither have much to do with Magnagora.
I'd really like to see Fain and Raezon get their act together. *mutter* Magnagora has been fairly neglected on the Divine front for a long time now. We have two fairly inactive Divine, and no Goddess. I love Raezon, but he needs to make more of an identify for himself, seperate from Fain (As most people seem to just lump them in together, without ever finding anything out about them.)

Lies! He called me names. *cry*
Shiri2005-12-31 02:42:05
Don't make me post the log thing.
Anyway!
Anyway!
Nymerya2005-12-31 02:43:12
You wouldn't.
Yes! Anyway...
Yes! Anyway...
Joli2005-12-31 04:03:08
Let's smuggle Elcyrion to Magnagora.
Nymerya2005-12-31 05:15:00
Oh yes, sure, that would work.
Not only would that annoy Raezon who's already a God of Knowledge, and of a completely different sort, but Fain would probably find out a way to sink Magnagora into the Sea of Despair permanantly.

You never know.. Raezon and Elcyrion might go study together or something and I don't think Fain is around enough to really care. If he did Elcyrion would just -dazzle- him with his natural charisma and we'd never hear about it again.
Nymerya2005-12-31 08:09:23
Well... I should show you a quote to prove how unlikely it is Elcyrion and Raezon would actually find common ground to study, but I didn't save it.
And Fain is around. Rarely, but enough to be pissed by what he'd percieve as a fairy(NOT the homosexual type, before someone says something) floating around Magnagora.
And no offence, but whilst I enjoyed the interaction with Elcyrion, I wouldn't compare his charisma to Raezon's. =P

I think it'd be best if we didn't get into the Elcyrion vs. Raezon rant.
I have to make one comment though..
Elcyrion's charisma = charming and sauve
Raezon's charisma = crackhead or AKA "I-don't-give-a-"
Everyone has different tastes, so there is no point arguing which is better.

Lacostian predated him in advocating peace. Hell, I predated him in that. It's just that he's so damn good at it, unlike me.

Well the guy who was more vocal about it, I meant. I never really talked to Lacostian about that, so I didn't include him.
Verithrax I didn't include for obvious reasons.

Holy Cow...
Guess we know what the others think now...
Although that makes me wonder about the Beggar's. I saw them as exploited rather than being faithful to the other gods (or maybe out of fear). Hmm...

The stars twinkle in the clear night sky. A set of stairs leads up to this
bridge from the dock below, rising next to a long ramp that is used to bring
