Edit: Do you honestly think being able to greaterpentagram every entrance to your sphere is a fair and honest tactic? I'm just curious here.
Just as fair and honest as abusing grace to link aggros I guess.

Nah, Nejii actually sleeps.
At least... I think he does.

More fair, I'd say. As it's not abuse.

I personally think that Capricorn and Cancer shouldn't be the spheres for Magnagora and Celest. They can already get up to Astral easier through them, but also for set up purposes Serenwilde isn't likely to use the Megalith to get up, and sometimes it can be hard to get to Taurus from Cancer unless we have a cubix. Both cities don't have this problem as their nexus is on their sphere.
Also, for something along the same reason.. can we get a variation of astroglide to return to the prime plane? The only way I've ever gotten down from a wild nodes is death or if someone by chance has a cubix. Also, if we wanted to use rotations this would be the only way for the communes to do it realistically.

You can bypass greater pent, you just need a bit of strategy, on the other hand though there is not a damn thing you can do about a graced linker.
Cwin2006-01-02 22:42:52
I agree with the comment that Mag is relying on a few of it's power members. We're working to build more, but that takes time, and people.
*useless rant just to blow off steam* Also note that it's a good bit harder to grow these days than before, at least if you don't buy OOC credits. Ooh, how fast I'd grow with 2k credits on Market and an easier Astral to abuse */useless rant just to blow off steam*
Still, give the city as a whole SOME credit.

There is. Read the HELP WILD NODES help page, move your entire army off the single sphere, bring in a couple of tanky heavy bashers and kill the goats.
And I'd like suggestions on how Celestians can bypass Greater Pentagram: since I saw seren do it by burrowing.

leaping? flying too I think
Morik2006-01-02 23:56:34
EDIT:
I remember reading a command which would throw everyone off your sphere during wild nodes but it would cost a bit of score. Where'd that go?

Pretty sure someone tried flying in. Couldn't walk in by the trees.
Torak2006-01-03 00:01:02
How about crashing the walls and beckoning? Flinging runes from afar? Having a seren moonbeam with you - it's not like you have any problems working with them. It was bypassed quite a few times. When there is approx 10 people on a sphere, and someone is constantly linking goats its a bit harder then simply 'killing them'; don't even try that route. Grace is unpassable as a player, greater pent is. Saying one tactic is equal to the other is amusing at best but doesn't add up.
Unknown2006-01-03 00:26:16
Leap doesn't bypass greater pentagram.
I think using grace to link is shockingly bad form. Especially now that the creatures are titan-level. Using greater pentagram is a lesser problem, maybe it just needs to disappear quicker if it is being used too easily.
I don't know about other non-magnagorans, but it certainly wasn't a fun event for me. I hate the fact that it consists of running into an opposing stronghold, with instasummon (why demesne summon is not now delayed or blockable I don't know) and almost no chance of keeping a group together.

Don't worry, something occured recently that might tip the balance to those outside of Magnagora next time. Of that, I won't say...

That really won't affect anything, if what I am assuming is correct.
I don't think anyone has said that insanity was a real problem. It was frustrating and annoying, especially afterwards, but didn't really tip the scales.

Er... yes... fun. Timing demesne effects with stupidity isn't my favourite activity though.
I just don't know if insanity really has that much of an impact on the conflict itself.
