isn't the Gauss method a way of calculating Linear equations using matrixes (eg. The Gauss-Jordan method)

(the n(n+1)/2 thing is something Gauss made the proof for, but here (Belgium) we don't call it a method)

This test is just how much you know, not how intelligent you actually happen to be. So I can still rest easy knowing I'm smarter than the rest of you.

The test is all about how well you can put down what they think is the right answer, like a mini SAT. SATs are trivially easy too, if you can understand how the test-makers think, and can just put down what they want you to put down.

But it doesn't really mean much. I'm 16 and a Canadian, and I found the geography questions a little unfair to those of us north of the border. Even so, with the hurricane warnings that flooded CNN in 2005, I have a pretty good mental map of Louisiana and the surrounding area.

On a brighter note, my physics class finally showed why the heck it's important.
