The major problem with being a Toxicologist (Poisonist just sounds stupid) is that you HAVE to be a serious basher to get full access to your trade skill. Its the only trade skill that is entirely dependent on your skill to do something else entirely, not to mention your willingness to.
As much as I hate stealing from the other games, the way Imperian handles it is better, having 5 toxin producing creatures that are bashable really easily at level 20+ and you have to combine the toxins in certain quantities to make the poisons.

Imagine if your entire trade skill depended on haggling someone else with another trade skills over HUGE amounts of herbs. If someone comes to me with a few kegs, I can literally through 2k+ galingale at a time.

Yes. What's worse is that I didn't even get a chance to use them out of the arena. Fetishes consume poisons in the arena.

So, uh. Looking for charybdon.

Gotta love fetishes then

My point was that where as every other Trade skill relies on either comms or someone elses trade skill, this one requires other people or yourself to ACTUALLY be good at something not just have a high skill at something. Imagine if you will, no one ever got good enough to kill Astral Scorpions, you lose a major poison right there. It would be like if Smithing was based on YOUR ability to PK. Or if Alchemy was based on YOUR ability to win bardic contests.
I am well aware the other trade skills rely on other people, I am a bookbinder I need Alchemists like every other day for ink.
