Which post do you refer to? Caedryn's was about a non-masterwork rapier, others (including Kromsh's) about masterwork weapons.

Thats not true, they just normally arn't worth reforging and "maxing" because we know there are higher stats out there.

However, for Rapiers, non master weapons, I can get speeds of 260.

In both cases, master.

235 precision (280 speed, etc, etc - any max stat) on non-masterweapons has an absolutely miniscule possibility, if it's not actually impossible due to stat capping.

As Daganev mentioned - there's not a hell of a lot of point in viewing 'normal' weapons as anything more than a stopgap before masterweapons.

The reason that data for the normal weapons isn't around is simply because 1) there's few all metal normal designs, I believe and 2) we tend not to forge them for a maximum, as it'd take the same time as a masterweapon to do, but with a cheaper sword.

I get higher prc Katana's than that... Think I have a 424prc and If I remember the one I got from Chade is a 434 prc katana

From what I understand there is no such thing as a "prenerf" 2 handed weapon. 2 handers didn't come out until after they nerfed weapon stats. (At least that is what I have been told)


Also I forged the 424prc on like a week ago.

Its supposed to be Avrg - Max... nobody really cares about the min.

i.e. 50% of the time you will get atleast the first number, and the max you can get is the second number.

I'm starting to agree with Clise in that there's no maximum stat for each differing weapon type, but instead a set maximum stat for all weapons, with some getting more of a chance than others.

...Don't mind me, it's late here. I'll explain it simpler.

A rapier has a 180 max damage (the max for broadswords), you're just reeeeeeeeeeeeeally unlikely to get that, whereas with a broadsword your chances for 180 damage aren't nearly as bad.

Yes, except thats not really possible.

For example, there simply are not enough hammer strikes possible to get 280 speed on a one handed weapon thats not a rapier.

If ALL the strikes hit one stat, you could not add more than 136 to the base stat of the weapon.
