And nothing for the Order. How lame.

The following people should be suddenly and inexplicably elevated to elder god status: Daevos. Rafael. Nejii. Kalodan.

Sod that, I wouldn't apply even if I was old and competent enough, I like keeping my friends thanks. dry.gif

(And Rafael/Kalodan? blink.gif)

From: Hajamin, the Golden Lord
To : Everyone
Subj: My Departure

People of the Basin,

My dearest sister Terentia secretly left through the Transcendental
Fulcrux some time ago on a mission to help some Elder Gods whom we
thought were trapped within the Void. It has been many years now since
she ventured forth, and I grow concerned. Thus, I must now follow the
trail she left and find out what has transpired.

Stay strong and believe!
Hajamin, the Golden Lord

Penned by My hand on the 3rd of Kiani, in the year 137 CE.

Ick. He's trashing Terentia on Celest's news board and in his goodbye post, he mentions her as his 'dearest sister.' Talk about hasty!

Hey, at least it's something.

Ew, no, gaaah. *shudder*
Peeka2006-01-06 03:47:06
This is just so shocking. I don't know what to say.

....

But we'll pull through it, somehow. I'm sure the other Gods are figuring things out about how to handle the god IC an we will need to support them and perhaps try and not be as demanding or whiny in the process? Mini things and skills can wait, I imagine they're feeling a good bit of betrayal right now.
Lisaera2006-01-06 03:47:11
As you can see, there is an IC explanation now, and that is all your characters know.

Obviously, the administration is a little shook up, and some of us are very upset. We appreciate you taking this news with dignity and refraining from making snide remarks about someone who did give a lot to this game.

This is a situation in which everyone, including Matt who was kind enough to deliver the news, has done the correct thing, and nobody is very happy about it. Rest assured, though, that Lusternia is going to be fine, and we are all going to work to keep making the game the best that it can be.

My condolences to the members of Hajamin's Order, I am afraid that character will not be back for some time. I am closing this thread now as there is really nothing more to discuss, you have been told what has happened and why.

Excuse the Rant...

I see a lot of near Lacostian-bashing. He does have his fans, and he has done a lot. I think people may not consider him "part of the world" because his very nature is to be mysterious and an enigma. He is "good", but he's also a bit peaceful, somewhat like his brother.

Honestly, does every god have to be as war-mongering as some would like?

I do miss Isune though... but I understand the "churn" factor, since a lot of these guys are college-aged and have commitments later in life, especially if it's a volunteer effort. That's why the years go buy so fast in-game.
Estarra2006-01-06 06:10:49
I've reopened this thread so people can say whatever they wish and vent or whatnot, rather than in the Farewell thread. As has been pointed out, some of our nerves are raw over this as Hajamin was not only an associate but also a friend. However, we had very little choice but to fire him.

I note that, while exercising poor judgment is something that could get you in trouble, it's trouble with a small 't'. Covering it up, however, is what gets you in Trouble--that's with a capital 'T' dipped in boiling oil. Just ask Clinton or Scooter or Martha or anyone who got raked over the coals, not for what they did, but for trying to cover it up.
Diamante2006-01-06 06:19:40
My only complaint I suppose, is that it seems to me someone made the hajamin farewell post for him. Give it some class at least, that post doesnt even fit in with Hajamin's views on terentia, just.. well too late now, our Order will pull through, maybe we can ascend Aesyra even further ohmy.gif. Pretty depressed, Hajamin was probably the single handed greatest influence on my character, but life will go on I suppose, plus, I've got a new thing to deal with, trying to help rebuild our guild after the exodus to celest XD
Kaileigh2006-01-06 06:35:52
Weeeellll I can't say I mind. I never did see eye to eye with Hajamin. Although it will be sad for celest and serenwilde no more mass favours and all.
Sylphas2006-01-06 06:41:03
Wow. This was the absolute last thing I expected. Since everyone else has covered the "he was awesome, wahh!!!" thing so far, I just have a few questions:

1. Will Lusternia be getting a new coder soon, or will we just have to deal?
2. Is Hajamin banned from playing a character here as well? I'd assume so, given inside information if nothing else.
Suhnaye2006-01-06 07:24:01
Hmm... blink.gif

Numbskull... What was he thinkin...?

Probably nothing, hence the problem... So I'll join the general assembly in asking how big a wrench this is throwing into Lusternia's works, and how long we're going to be one coder short.?

I'd like to know what else Hajamin lied about, only ICly things. I'm sure there's vast loads of it enough to give Dr. Phil a hernia.

Perhaps it wasn't made clear that Hajamin was not let go for being a god, or anything In Character.

Since it has been, now, it will be interesting to see what people try to get away with IC because of this, simply because they personally did not like Hajamin oocly.
Unknown2006-01-06 08:08:23
I'd say deleting a God's Order powers is something IC, whether or not it took OOC measures to do it. I eat yarrow to cure a cut artery, but my zmud client did it for me. OOC/IC. Either way, his actions have yielded IC affects. Amaru said he lost all his Orderhead powers one day. You don't think his character should suffer for his actions? What, no more story lines for the Taint or Viravain having corrupted him available?

And guess what? What you say is wrong. What happened did not occur by Hajamin the Elder God, but the Coder behind him - if you can't see that, it's just fortunate there are plenty of players who can.
Unknown2006-01-06 08:14:31
Sad.. yes.

And I'm sorry to all the order members, I know I'm supposed to hold it together but I hope you understand that I can't...
Unknown2006-01-06 08:14:53
There's still IC affects having come about by his actions, even as a Coder. How do you justify those In Character, or we do leave them for a deplorable gaping hole of misunderstood UFO-esque RP?
