How can we help?

Is there anything we can do as players to expidite this transitional period, or make things proceed more smoothly?
Morik2006-01-06 17:21:48
The Golden Rule: Don't be a Cock.

There's IG justifications for almost any action you wish to take: for example, shrine defilings. For now, just let things be so people can adjust. This is a game thats meant to be fun and interesting; its not going to be fun to make certain people cry as their world falls down around them.

Actually I'm just waiting for mag to finish off all shrines just to be the idiots they are. They claim to have prioritys but they do it cause they can. And then claim retaliation from our retaliation which is pure stupidity because they always start it

I've read some of your other posts, and they all seem to consist of personal attacks against Magnagora (and to a lesser extent, Glomdoring) for no real reason. Could you please keep in-character conflicts within Lusternia, where they belong, and vent you frustrations on the "Idiots!" section of the forum?

Iblis is right.

Or maybe Magnagora just has the highest proportion of powergamers and griefers, and (these being OOC characteristics of the player themself, no matter what the IC justification) has a right to vent on the forums when it comes to something like dusting inactive Divine shrines?
Kthx.

EDIT: Note that her post (albeit rather aggressive) was not off topic and doesn't need your moderation. Richter can slap her back in place if need be.

And... what's wrong with dusting shrines of inactive divine again?
Lisaera2006-01-06 19:55:21
Morik pretty much got it, just don't be an idiot. Many of us up here have raw nerves about this and are a little touchy at the moment, so if you could try not to do anything that will put undue stress on us, it would be much appreciated.

But she's so right, she just says what we all know to be true wink.gif

I think this bickering sort of falls under the'Being An Idiot' category that Morik/Lisaera mentioned, even if it is out here on our beloved forums.

This is a roleplaying game. "Dusting" Divine shrines is perfectly justifiable IC, given that - as far as the characters are concerned - Hajamin will be gone for an indeterminable period of time, and thus is unable to defend his shrines. (And from an OOC perspective, the higher-ranking order members can still worldburn and defend the Shrines in the same fashion they would ordinarily.) I was not "moderating" her post, given that I do not have the power to do such: I simply do not think it is particularly mature to flame the player behind the character simply because they are doing an effective job at sticking to the role they have set out for themselves.

"Kthx."

Iblis have my babies...
Verithrax2006-01-07 00:34:02
The Lusternia development is going to take a hit, but there's nothing we can do about that (Except applying to be a coder/builder, of course.) The best thing we can do to cope is simply act with some common sense. Act as if we didn't need the gods to babysit us, and things will be alright. smile.gif

Much <3 for Morik.

Short of sending your limbs to Estarra as offerings, I believe his advice is as good as it gets.

On a lesser note, Rashidat, your signature/avatar scares the hell out of me.

Indeed.. pureevil.gif

I think for the time being keeping things civil towards divine, and your fellow lusternian, no matter the issue, will go a long ways towards getting us out of this depressing hole.
