I don't get it... mostly he ignores people but ocassionaly, for no appearent reason he selects someone and bows to that said person whenever that person arrives to the room... I am really itching to know what this is all about.

Me too! I'm hardly ever around the Tree. I'm usually by Rowena, so I guess I miss a lot of stuff. It seems like she's equally rude to everyone, though.

No, he bows to only one person at a time and for a very very very specific reason. They have something important and he can sense it. And no, I'm not going to share quest information.
