Bumping because I can.
Tekora's Corollary to Soll's Lament: After hopping through those three guilds, one most often finds themselves condemmed to living with a might comparable to that of most novices. Unless you're a credit whore.

Before it used to be, "When There's an Ixion, there's an Athana" and probably add "and a couple of mags" assuming they bring in reinforcments.
Now it's "When There's an Ixion, there's an Athana, a Tuek, an entire Kalas Clan" and probably add "and a couple of mags and serens" assuming they bring in reinforcements.

Gaetele's Law of Aging: No matter how old your character is, their outer appearance will never change to anything beyond 40 years old.
Gaetele's Law of Elder Respect: Novices will always brag about their extreme power, until you graciously point out that you're three-to-four times their age, when they'll hastily apologise and worship you. This rule has no basis as to how strong you actually are.
Gaetele's Law of Shamelessness: The chance of you receiving a gift is directly proportional to how much you beg for it OOC.
Gaetele's Law of Blissful Ignorance: If you're a Rogue, no matter what grievous crimes you have done to an organisation in the past, once you're unenemied, said organisation will treat you like they would treat any other person.
Haha, all three are so true for me.
Hazar2006-08-25 20:59:18
Three? You quoted four.
Soll2006-08-25 20:59:25
There are four there. Learn to count.

Also, new rule.
Hazar's Law of Glom Debating: Whenever a discussion involves Glomdoring, it will eventually decline to an argument over whether Glomdoring is emo or not.

The law of allies: No matter if you're alligned together or not, people will still refer to you like they would a couple who never parts. I.E. Celestwilde.

Its Celenwilde if we must bring it up.

She, and I, are using the old name. Yet, I suppose you are correct in this matter. The name would now be Magnawilde..though now thats beginning to remind me of the anime type thanks to my friends.

Ytraelux's Extrapolation on Lisaera's Explanation of Aethers: Some sound, -- normal, subwoofer sound -- can: cross interdimensional voids; be only picked up by people that are in a certain organisation; be directed at certain people without anyone else knowing; completely disregard languages; have the speaker be recognised by anyone, anyone at all; is called "aether" AND CAN STILL NOT BE HEARD BY DEAF PEOPLE.
Ytraelux's Extrapolation on Knowledge of Others: Everybod can know everybody else's name, rank, family, quest completion, voice, affiliation, motto, warcry, race, gender, age, , title and more, without ever having seen or spoken to this person.
Ytraelux's Corollary on Knowledge of Others: Any player can immediately identify any other player by name and title upon the first moment they set eyes on them, even if this knowledge was not gathered before hand.

Why the heck is Gaetele quoting HELP AGING as his own law, and why are the rest of you agreeing to refer to it as such?
Verithrax2006-09-05 01:21:51
This thread is so old, the reason is lost in the mists of time now.
Shamarah2006-09-05 01:26:01
I actually remember what inspired a lot of these. Wow.
