Ignore this...there are better ways to spend time than to discussing unimportant things.
Munsia2006-01-14 18:54:49
Ya local area wont work if Estarra wont make our pets insanely strong...
Narsrim2006-01-14 19:41:20
My proposal is to require an additional cost to transmigrate like karma. Each transmigrate should take 33% karma along with everything else.
Bam, transmigrate suddenly isn't so reliable

That's... unusual, karma cost for the skill. But it makes sense actually.
Vix2006-01-14 20:03:55
Would really stink to lose a blessing to that though.

Unique ideas are quite unusual in nature
Cwin2006-01-14 20:53:58
A pity about the pet strength thing: It WOULD work.
Karma? That IS odd. It's an option though. I can't realy argue against the idea, and it would make it a very unique skill.

I don't like the idea that it's based on something that is gained solely by offering large numbers of corpses, or questing. All you're doing is nerfing druids - no longer can they honestly hold a blessing, a single blessing, without constantly questing throughout it to make sure they will transmigrate.
Unknown2006-01-15 00:59:56
Hmm, what if the whole thing was slightly different? Deepbond not with your familiar, but with any normal creature you like.
So, say you deepbond with a stag in Serenwilde, that's now the type of creature you will reincarnate into on death. If all the stags are dead when you die, you don't transmigrate. For every stag that is killed, you suffer a health hit while deepbonded. Then all you need is say an eye sigil limitation for actually transmigrating - if you don't move off an eye sigil in the 10 seconds you spend as a soul, you transmigrate on the spot. At least this way, Druids could still use their familiars.
Eh, I don't know... I just don't like karma feeding a guildskill for many of the same reasons YoLF mentioned.

If I can hold 5 blessings at once, then you can hold a few with transmigrate costing something.
Would you rather it suck ass and be local area or have a karma cost?

False dilemma.

Don't know if this has been said...
But if I knew where my enemy pet is, and I wanted to hurt my enemy, I would wait by the pet fully prepared to kill him for good as soon as he transmigrates, defenseless and disorientated.
So, no good local area only because that would be a hide and seek with the pet.

Make it so you can only transmigrate once a Lusternian day, and be able to put up Lichseed at night.
Malicia2006-01-18 20:45:01
I concur!
Shamarah2006-01-18 20:51:05
Once a day is hardly a limitation at all except for the most suicidal of people. Once a month would be better.

It's a trans skill that takes quite a bit of power to perform. I sincerely don't think it'd be unreasonable that you can only use it once per Lusternian day, at least you'll have the Druid out of your hair for the next hour or so.
