here's one, envenom rapier sensitivity, hit ethelon stripping deafness, then read disruption
Athana2006-01-12 01:16:40
tackle/barging or whatever that warrior thing is that pushes you out of the room with you

EDIT: I'm also really surprised you didn't trueheal
Unknown2006-01-12 01:17:24
And disruption scroll or killing the person is the only way to get rid of it?

What about those who can't forceheal deafness?
Unknown2006-01-12 01:17:34
Does deafness in this circumstance count as a defence? Can it be stripped with Spring?
Torak2006-01-12 01:18:04
Barrier + deafness = overpowered.

QUOTE(Ethelon)
There are many things Malicia coulda done. Malicia, it really seems like all you care about anymore is how much drama you can cause on the forums by doing nothing other than whine, whine, whine. Give it up, it's stupid. You could have escaped, you didn't, to bad. I'm sure Narsrim or Amaru will blame their next jumping on me and Athana, so all will be fine.

Oh elite warrior, please name everything I could have done? I can't burrow, can't fly. I could have tried to strip your hearing while Athana was webwhoring me, but it was pretty much a rough spot. I was teamed. Most people that get jumped by more than one person die. Barrier is simply insane. Are you embarassed or something? No need for the hostility. biggrin.gif

edit- Ninja'd by Murphy. Yeah, I thought of that, looking through the log, but when you're jumped, off guard, you aren't always thinking.

Athana- I don't have trueheal.

Here's one for you:

Eat bog, sip tetrodin. Bam, you are instantly deaf again. It is not possible to strip deafness on anyone with common sense. No matter what you do, the target can put it back up before you regain balance or equilibrium.

Doesnt work if he's already deaf BUT making him cure his head by swinging at it will do something. Once again only available to 25% of the fighters out there
edit: oh he ment myrtle taking priority tongue.gif thought he ment sensitivity stripping sixthsense

Again, the idea that you can tackle someone out of the room is a bs response. What stops the Geomancer from using barrier, erecting stonewalls on the exits, and then using chasm while deaf?
Torak2006-01-12 01:22:40
Tackle before they have the chance smile.gif Generally though I find barrier overpowered in alot of cases, ofcourse this is just my personal opinion, I am sure many mages think different.

And we're back to an unstoppable barrier. Next suggestion?
Unknown2006-01-12 01:23:47
Wouldn't chasm take a bit of power, though? So they'll have to wait for their power reserves to recharge, and by then the barrier might have faded?

They can enter and erect stonewalls right away if they web and use barrier before you're able to respond making you unable to ever fight them
Unknown2006-01-12 01:23:57
It's not a very viable option.

You can setup barrier in advance. It also doesn't matter.

EDIT:

It is EASY to stay deaf. There is no way you can get rid of it if someone wants to keep it up. At any point, they can just eat bog myrtle and sip tetrodin to reset themselves to deaf but not blind.

Thus, they could even go as far to enter the room, cast barrier, web whore (barrier is on sub-channel and thus very fast) till they get 3p, and chasm.
