How is he argueing his point when he speaks of very limited situations, yet speaks about barreir in a full setup. I meant the same, If a Wiccan, with Aeon and allhex, prepares themselves...such as a Geomancer, in a barriered room, in full demesne. Even Daevos and Geb if a fight, would have alot of trouble escaping. I was Wiccan and without aeon I was able to give trouble to Daevos, so I don't see how Narsrim has trouble doing it. I was just trying to point out that everyone has cheese, just because a few easily handle NArsrim's cheese...there are just as many who can handle a geomancers.

Barrier + chasm + divinefire was stopped because it was not feasible under most circumstances to escape. If the tactics I have described creates a situation where it is again not feasible under most circumstances to escape. As such, I don't see this isn't a matter of who can "handle it fine."

The point is simply that regardless of what most people do, it is unlikely if not bordering on impossible for them to escape this tactic if executed effectively by the geomancer in question. The method you used was not the most effective - far from it; however, anyone can pick up on it, make the necessary adjustments, and make this far more lethal than you have used it. That's the problem.

From what I can see, to escape a barrier/chasm lock all you need is stuff that you can buy with gold, or else is mostly contained without peoples 3 guild skillsets.

In order to escape an allhex/aeon lock you need to have at least Fabled discipline and gifted low/high magic.

Please go back, read over it, and go from there.

As I've stated like 15 times so far, if executed correctly, barrier and chasm in a combination with other geomancer abilities can create a situation where there is slim to no chance to escape - period. There is no "you can buy your way out of this with gold" option. There is no "you can escape this with blah blah blah."

And no, you don't need any high magic or low magic whatsoever to escape a hex lock. Realistically, you need focus mind. However, once you have focus mind - you can escape it. There is no ability you can aquire that makes it easy to escape the barrier/chasm combo if done right. Disruption scrolls can be negated until the point where there isn't enough time to effectively use them and then get out of the room.
