Rp in the different guilds

Hold, when I say good RP I mean that people interact, players initiate events rather then always wait for the gods to tumble things on them. People who play according to their guild and commune's atmosphere, and if not ... why...
I often see people who just go around, bash, and talk about the damage they do...
but that's just me,

I think to be a good roleplayer (and this kind of applies to orgs as well) you don't go out of character (because everything you do is roleplaying) and you have a personality and history.

If you fit those three, you're cool in my eyes.

When I think of good RP, I think of constantly staying in role and staying true to that role. Like I've said on several occasions, I love Glom's RPing. I have a mad scientist-y Geomancer Dracnari that I can hopefully get established into some Magnagora RP when I come back from vacation from Lusturnia.

All and all, I've been having more fun in Glomodoring and hopefully, I'll be having fun RPing in Mag too.

unfortuneatly, the ebonguard have the lowest amount of RP within the Glomdoring.. fortuneatly, we have the structure and background to increase that RP anytime the members want to do so!

That said, compared to other places I've seen, I think Ebonguard have a lot of RP. Just imagine what the rest of Glomdoring is like!

I agree, the Ebonguard has the best structure I've seen in any of the guilds. Though the requirements can be tough, this is what a real guild should be like. As far as RP goes I'm not sure.

I firmly believe that the Geomancers and the Nihilists have the best -potential- for Roleplay, though I cannot say that I am happy with the way this potential is being explored right now. Unfortunately, many in Magnagora still have the mindset that they must kill to win, and that's causing a rift between players and organisations. Thankfully, the number of people who want to make a difference in other ways are on the increase, so our roleplay is improving, though I wish more people would get involved.

Well, that was kind of the goal. Somewhat tough without being impossibly frustrating or annoying. Especially with the recent changes to the Warden stuff, I believe we've pretty much got it spot-on now. smile.gif

Our org RP is, yeah, somewhat lacking if you compare it to the other two guilds. We've got a fair bit of potential, but that doesn't mean much. happy.gif That's not to say it's completely horrid, it's mostly buried so very few have access to it, which doesn't really work so well for lower-ranked members who are trying to get interested in the game.

I can't work out whether this statement is the product of an odd sense of humour, ignorance, or just stupidity O.o

Why does it have to be any of those three? In a format like Lusternia, using emotes rather than socials is one of the ways you can roleplay. In post-for-post roleplay that's how we do it.

Edit: Not that I define roleplay as doing custom emotes. I just appreciate it when people put a little writing into their roleplay, a good application of creative energy in any manner never hurts. Really not sure what your complaint is.

I love Magnagora with all my heart, but the roleplay isn't that great. It seems that the people are just living day-to-day sitting around and conversing with each other. Atleast that is what I see. I try to get some of my friends together to do something RP like but that can only truely work out every once and a while. The last thing we got to work was over ten lusternian years ago.

*whack* Read the damned news you fool. We just had an -enourmous- event that will help develop some roleplay, if you -really- want to put it all in. And I think it will take a few people willing to make a change. I really miss Vika and uhh, that other one. >.> They were fun. Need more people like that.
