I'm currently writing a book in the form of a journal of a person in the times before D'varsha rose to the state of Vernal God. The problem is... The current Calendar is post Vernal war... The months are named after Elder and Vernal Gods... So... I'm kind of stumped as to how to do it... I can easily make something up, nameing months after some of the most remembered lost cities of the time or something. But if the Administration would like to give a bit of detail, it'd have to be given OOC, because the Elder gods weren't around for this time period, and so wouldn't know any more than I would IC. If Estarra or someone says they're okay with me making something up, I'll do my best to make it impressive and very well thought out, not something stupid. But ultimately its your choice.

Name the months after the astral plane....

i.e... Use the knowledge in Astrology to name months or refer to months in that way... such as... In the Month of the volcano...

In the bible they just refer to months as numbers.. first month, second month..


They probabbly didn't have names before the vernal gods.

But the Astral Plane hasn't been discovered yet either.

Astrology would make more sense in my opinion. It'd be something like: the fifth day of the Bumblebee or something.

By Astral sign (Antlers, Volcano, etc)... not pisces, gemini, etc. Right?

Keep in mind that the HELP ASTROLOGY file is off (last I checked) by a day. One of Ialie's clanhelps should have the correct chart, but I forgot which one since she has so many.

I like that. Going by the Astrological months. The First day in the Sign of the Volcano, or whatev. Wicked fun.

Well, this could explain where the astral sphere names came from *shrug*

S'been wrong for a while, but divine are scared of astrology (I even emailed Lisaera a corrected version at one point, months ago).

It's very likely there were multiple calendars for different races and civilizations. I don't think the current calendar existed until The Celestian Empire was founded.

Later than the Holy Celestine Empire. Estarra and Roark came much after the HCL, and they both have months.

At least some of the months were named after Supernals:
