I'm going to a leadership conferance at the college I will be attending next year. We'll be competing for scholarships and membership into their leadership committee thing. I'm going to be gone most of tomorrow, then all Friday, Saturday, and part of Sunday. So yeah.. everyone can find someone else to harrass for a few days.

It should be fun, but I'm very paranoid. I don't know anyone there and I'll be 2 hours away from home. I was one of those children that always had to call home in the middle of the night at sleepovers. I've been so nervous that my neck and shoulders have started spasming and everytime I think about it I feel sick to the stomach.

Ooer I'm going to be in D.C. for one of these, is it the same one?

It's the Mississippi University for Women's Hearin Leadership Conferance so I doubt it's the same, but that'd be awesome if it was!

I'm getting my hair done tomorrow, then leaving friday morning.

As someone who's college and family were on the other side of the world from each other (Singapore and NY respectively), my advice would be to take some good reminders of home with you and not be afraid to call (hey, that's what your family's there for, right?). That said, it's still a pretty big step, and it's not always easy being independent, as much as it seems cool at first. Personally, I've always found new people and their perspectives to be fun.

This computer hates java I think, but yeah..

I'm in the dorms..and they smell bad..and there is no air conditioning -cry- I don't have a roommate either so meh.. At least I can steal that other water bottle.
