School holidays last from mid-December to end of January for us. Six weeksish, sometimes a little more or less.

Christmas just ain't Christmas without prawns or pavlova or something else yummy and Australian, and the wind blowing hot air around you and keeping the warm food warm and the cold food quick to go in your belly. And then Boxing Day with all the alcohol. And New Years with the warm weather and the skimpy clothing.

You guys just don't know what you're missing. Snow. Pssht.

Been bored lately here on Lusternia, as well as a ton of HWs have been forcing me to pull 2 all-nighters the last 2 weeks. Maybe once the envoy changes go through things will become more interesting again.

Reasons I haven't been around lately:

1- I have other things to do now that I'm back working on finishing my degrees.

2- Lusternia is not a game, it's a job for me right now. I can't just log on for a bit to relax, if I log in, I have to stay logged in for hours, and none of that time is relaxing, and none of that time is fun. Someone please contest me. For everything

3- PvE is so boring in Lusternia with no AI, and bashing is a stupid treadmill. When I want to have fun with PvE, I play Guildwars. Intelligent AI and no experience treadmill at all. It's so refreshing to play a game where everyone is the same level, and one's power is based solely on their skill at playing the game and their own intelligence.

4- PvP is so boring in Lsuternia with demesnes and summoning and the other issues with group combat.

5- The Roleplay in Lusternia isn't bad, but I never get time for it, with all the raiding and managing and such. And it doesn't even compare with tabletop, of course. No MMO game can. With RL friends around more, I've been playing in games and writing games, and get my RP 'needs' fulfilled there.

6- The social interactions and creation aspects (making new programs for the guild and writing books for the library and making new cartel designs and such) of Lusternia are fun and the reason I play such games, but lately, it's all just been yelling at people and failing to get things done on time due to too many people asking Shorlen everything. Plus, the hatred fostered by the game's RP, though fun, creates a lot of tension and stress, which I need periodic breaks from so I don't get too worked up OOC from it.

7- Anime >>> all.

The outside of the Basin is being opened soon, to triple the size of the Basin and provide a 90+ hunting ground. A further 20 planes are also in the making.

I know this is off topic but I -have- to add it and it's not worth a thread.

Bite off the top right corner and the bottom left corner of a tim-tam/penguin, put one of the corners in a cup of tea, and suck the tea up through the other corner. When you think the bars about to break apart, put it in your mouth. The entire thing will have melted. Sheer bliss.

if you really wanna know, Shiri. I've been sub-conciously installing priorities on work and sleep into people's brains with subliminal flickers of text-spam on people's screens that when flickered at the right rate, macro directly into "WORK-GOOD, SLEEP-NOW". That's the real reason I spar so much.

The aim of course was to get lots of people offline at the later/earlier hours in comparison to me so that I could get some better hunting in. The Krokani are so swamped during the day!

Of topic I know, but it could depend on where you live. Ive never heard of tim-tams or penguins in a candy bar. Then again, there may be somethings Ive had that you probably havent had. Cant say for certain.
