Since a lot of us are going back for the semester (Or already are back) I figured I'd start a thread for school/college whinging, squeals of joy, etc.
'Course it's early in the semester so there might not be enough activity to comment on, but eh.. I know someone out there has to have a schedule they hate. And if you're not attending school/have finished with school then you could always talk about daily happenings.
I'm writing this up just as I wait for my C++ software that came with my book to finish installing (Just an inch away from being done.), but I really don't have anything to say at the moment so I think I'll stop here.

Well, since you said "or life"...
I work 5 days a week, 8.5hrs a day, and commute almost an hour each way. Breaks and summers have no meaning for me, and the only thing I look forward to are the weekends, my meager social life, and the paycheck I get every two weeks.
I'm so glad I'm not in school though. Ugh, my poor girlfriend.

You'll do fine!
And an hour each way, Richter? You driving yourself or using public transportation?
Unknown2006-01-23 23:22:18
I'm just working and saving up to re-activate my Real Estate licence. Other than that I'm trying to keep up with my online classes.

I start University on the 27th of February, and this time next year I will be studying in Sweden .

I'm doing my GCSEs in may, then I go to college. Should be better than school but I'm not ready to be out of compulsory education yet I've truly wasted my childhood.

Driving myself, it's closer to 45 minutes each way, but it comes out to about 60 miles a day. $140 a month on gas.

Eww.. no buses to trains? I've been spoiled by the Metro in D.C.. wish they had it out where I am now.

Yup. My GCSEs in May, too, though Drama exam's March-April. Then going on to Sixth Form, then Uni. Somewhat glad school's back now. Gets me out and about a lot more, hanging about after school or planning times about. GCSEs are proving to be a bastard, though. Seems revision will be cutting me short soon.
Unknown2006-01-24 19:27:28
Yup, I wish I lived in DC. I would save about $600 a month since I wouldn't have a car to pay for, maintain and keep full of gas. In MD/VA you can't survive without a car - or I can't for that matter. I'm so spoiled.
Manjanaia2006-01-24 19:31:51
What uni you thinking of going to Soll? It'd be cool if we ended up at the same one and what GCSEs are ya taking? I've got the regular stuff plus french, music, history and food technology. They all suck! I don't deserve to pass them, I don't work hard enough. Didn't realise you were my age Solly dear.
Kaervas2006-01-24 19:38:47
For my GCSEs I took double science, music tech, business studies and history. Got 2 A's and the rest B's. Now I'm on the last year of A-levels and they suck ass

No, you're right.. So difficult to get around.
I guess I should talk about school too. I really haven't done much of anything, but we just started back yesterday so I'm still kind of lazy from the long break. After I clean up around me I'll probably start on my C++ and Soc. intros. I have some history to do too, but there's so much reading (And it's SO boring to me. It's like watching one of those documentaries on HBO and adding the old voices yourself).
Unknown2006-01-24 19:41:58
Same year as Kaervas, with an AAA conditional offer from Mansfield College, Oxford. Ohhhhh the pressure baby.

Oxford/Cambridge. (NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN...) Probably Warwick, or Oxford Brooks. You? Oh my god. Please, we have to go to the same college. I might finally know someone who plays Lusternia. :/
Taking the normal with triple science, music, drama, and geography. Music sucks. And barely anyone knows I'm the same age as you, Manjy dear.

Only got the option for triple science this year, but I'm so glad we did. Much better, IMO, to get a seperate grade for each of the sciences.

Show off . I didn't think you'd be able to resist this thread. I had 5 As at A level. And an A at AS. Just do more a-levels. It increases your chances *sage nod*
P.S Oh. And my life. I have a shitty cold that is incapacitating me. I tend to have a Cold more or less non-stop nowadays anyway.. but this one is getting ridiculous. As a result, I've lost my voice (which never happens), and because I can't afford for this to go on or I'll get far too behind with university work, I'm simply going to have to take a day off now, which is going to make the next few days crap as I try to catch up.

Agreed on Triple Science, and don't 'never going to happen' yourself. It's always worth a shot. Seriously.
