Incidently, that "stuff" folder started life as a temporary folder and is now 20 gigabytes.

It definitely not cute or girly or anything like that. In fact, it's probably a little depressing but I think it's funny. I'll probably end up changing it soon anyways.

Here's mine, Cause I'm too lazy to constantly fix my playlist on bs when i get around to moving my amvs into an actual directory I've got all my icons hidden.
Also there is a movie playing in that black box, just my computer doesn't let me capture them any more :@
 bs player, i can have amvs playing and it doesn't interfere with zmud, or make me resize screwing up my buttons.

I'd just like to say I agree with Richter. You all have entirely too much crap on your desktops.
Asarnil2006-03-19 13:30:54
Hey, when you are running 1280x1024 resolution, you can afford to have a lot of stuff on the desktop.

.. or, you could use that screenspace for real work.
Morik, who frequently has a great enormous 10-pt terminal text window stretched across his 1280x1024 window at work - just so he can read code without wrapping.
(FYI: PHP programmers aren't. Honestly. *stab*.)

Am starting to think I have one of the cleanest desktops
Asarnil2006-03-19 19:47:14
I'd post my current desktop, but it would get smacked down by the admins for having too much naughty stuff on it.

Aaargh. *dies from cuteness overload*
On an unrelated note, I hope KDE4 will have full SVG icons that don't look like crap when they resize on mouseover.

Interesting quote on that wallpaper of yours...
Is that a Kabbalah website?
Summer2006-03-19 22:52:55
Yeah, recognise that quote too. But I just got it surfing randomly for wallpapers after I got this nice shiny new comp. If I remember right, most of her other wallpaper with quotes sounded more Christian than not.

Here's mine!

I'm stealing that btw.
Asarnil2006-04-07 01:26:35
My current one...
And here is the clean version for those interested...
This is using the Fly A Kite windows mod (its a theme package that makes your computer look and act a LOT like a Mac). The main thing I like about my rainlendar skin (the calendar and to do list - its awesome and freeware) is how it fits in with the standard konfabulator (I REFUSE to call it yahoo widgets) widgets. I also use Rainmeter, because it gives all the stats I need and I hate using my start menu.
