As to Jolis comment on 30 in the mind and some rections; ever see those players that you think are like 16/30 but if you ask them theyre 30/16? That happens a lot Ive noticed because some of the players have been forced by matters outside the game to shape up and take on a more responcible role in their lives. A major death in the family, moving, or just the way theyre brought up can have that effect.

Agreed. Even if you're looking to tell a romance story of sorts or embellish on related sentiments to do with men and women(and all varying combinations), a fade to black or anything else suffices quite well, in most cases even leading up to that isn't necessary. Unless you're looking to wank to it, roleplay sex is boring and tedious. How many times can I type about thrusting? The english language only foes So FAR! The intimacy of a pair you wish to emboss, tone, glorify and explore through your characters is better found in other things.

An ex girlfriend of mine used to talk about how being sexual too much in too many ways can pretty much ruin it. Which is why people explore all these different avenues (going so far as animals dear God). When's the last time you got high on just holding a woman? Ack, I'm starting to rant.

However, I have nothing against people who do it, as long as I don't have to hear about it.( I am assuming that by 'intimate relations', you mean MUDsex) Besides, 'intimate relations' are far more fun in real life.

Sometimes it is not about sexual gratification, sometimes it is about creative writing. People will sit down and roleplay eating dinner, chewing and so on. It may seem tedious to you, but it doesn't mean that they are hungry in real life. People will roleplay having a drink. It doesn't mean they are getting drunk in real life. People just have tastes for roleplaying different things, if they prefer to fade to black then fade to black, but if they want to test their writing creativity then more power to them.

She was really nice, just ditzy. We broke up after about a week. I can only handle so much dumb blondness. (No offense to any blondes out there, dumb or otherwise). As an aside, everyone knows WWII was when we won our independence from Britain.

One thing I like about MUDs is that you can investigate a part of yourself you might not otherwise have the opportunity to do so. I think that is a powerful tool that can later be applied IRL.

When I hear it from that point of view, I guess you're right. I know what sort of roleplay you're talking about, back in the day I used to get nagged at for being longwinded. I still do sometimes. Going into detail about things can be fun, and good exercise.

The reason I posted what I did though, is alot of people don't do it for those reasons, I think. So I judged it by the majority of it's patronage. Which wasn't exactly perfect either.

It'd be more impressive to me to see someone go into vivid detail about the intangible psuedo-metaphysics of psychocast emotion(something like how certain thoughts or natural chemical-based instincts manage to process themselves into auditory or visual hallucinations. That's always fascinated me. Conciousness formed into words formed into pictures formed into sounds, smells. Wide variety. Triggered by different things, responsive to different things, conditioned in reaction to various things. The language of each individual's psyche and it's corresponding chemical agent transfer via neuron-axon is enthralling)or some crap than the entry of their wang into the woo. Call me silly.


P.S. I haven't read any romance novels, I read memoirs of a geisha though like years ago.
