I just want to add back on topic that this thread like so many others is filled with so much emotion by all parties, there is no objectiveness to it. The reality is that for all sides, people raid when they can raid. They raid when people are around. They raid when people aren't around. Depending on your timezone/schedule, you may be caught in one or the other, but I think overall, this "you wait till everyone is gone" propaganda is blow out of proportion.

Nymerya like so many others has made the classic claims that ALL these people are just getting slaughtered that are just right out of novicehood, etc. Cut the drama. There are *some* people who fit into that category, but the vast majority of people who die during raids do not.

Furthermore, I think the bulk of people responding in this thread are leaders of some shape or form IC. If a situation was truly hopeless, I wouldn't encourage people to just throw themselves away as fodder. I'd tell them to sit back, relax, and plan. I've had to do this with Celest a few time on Celestia when it was just honest to god hopeless to thwart Magnagora at that time. It was somewhat sucky at the moment, but waiting and not dying and being sucessful later is >>> that dying and failing.

It isn't that major an issue, Xenthos. Not in this thread anyhow. Why try to crucify someone for defending the honour of a friend? His response was as ic as possible. I'm surprised a number of people didn't issue her, having to listen to it. Narsrim responded and Malicia appreciated it. I decided to issue her way before the shouts started. If Zalana doesn't like these shouts, she shouldn't make them. She opened her mouth first. For those who dislike shouts in general, SHOUTSOFF is the command in game. What are you all sobbing about here?

And Narsrim's correct. If someone were to call me that oocly, my brother or a host of friends would make sure that person regretted it. It's the worst thing to call a woman, in my opinion. It's disgusting.

Aite I have heard this sort of 'maturity' from several of celenwilde folks in this thread, or at least more than twice. Yknow essentially 'if you don't want us to do it, you shouldn't do it'. While this seems like a mature stance and justifiably so in application, it isn't. It's the 'he hit me first' thing, from the playground. Yeah, this is a playground. But it's somewhat more advanced. Now of course, in PK situations this sentiment dosn't directly apply, depending on the peoples and characters. But that's beside the point: When it gets to where like Thoros and Yurika and three other people are all gang-shout-raping this Zalana girl with baseless nonsense that includes profanity and sexual innuendo, for whatever reason, it's not cool. Not to me, anyway. And sure the other stuff those people yell all day like

(Now this shout, in sparse amounts with a sprinkle of epicism behind it would just be good roleplay. Like say some dude insulted a God on shout, and homie went and killed him, then said in shout 'Let this be an example, blah'. But 90% of the shouts considering such things from Celenwilde are essentially "wtf u got pwnt, stfu")

is just annoying, but it dosn't really make you people look so hot. I'm gonna take a longshot and say the attitude considering combat against the 'taint'(which I daresay is less-than-detached on part of the players)in the celenwilde (though I'd say Cele more than wilde)is exactly why when your people get beaten in the game, the word 'bitch' comes up. Abrael, Rath, Thoros. They all like this word. Especially Thoros. I thought maybe it was just a few bad apples, then your Laxinova lady was all about that, and she's some kind of respected veteran right? Whatever the case, maybe you're not wrong to say Celenwilde is the lesser half of the Basin right now(Mali's words were destroying it, sarcasm I figure). I'm certainly not impressed, but I'm not about to cause any trouble by making a big fuss about it either. Hell after posting out the thoughts in my head over it I don't care anymore, but since you live there as a character and game with the people I named on a day-to-day basis (and we both know there's alot more with attitudes exactly like theirs: Vicious, debased, juvenile), maybe you should care.

In Glomdoring (and the more I read about the other cities and communes and listen to all these arguments and OOC confrontations, the more I appreciate the place)we have this policy of being the better person. No matter what. I think that's a policy everyone should adopt. Just because it's cool. To be Cool.

It should -especially- matter to people like you and Narsrim, Malicia. Because you set the tone for your people. Your influence will effect them. When it dosn't, that's when you need to bring down the hammer. Is that all the game is to you, all the character and the character's world, home, people is? The scenery in which you 'pwn' folks and pursue selfish gain as though this were Galiga, and magnagorans were the enemy spaceships displayed by your crappy NES? If not, do you -really- want your folks to be like that? Shouting all that trash? Being dishonorable and random?

I'd also like to point out that so far as I am aware, you are not psychic OOC or IC. I like many others possess the ability to be heartless and cruel to my enemies and snuggly/kind to my friends/allies.

The shouts do get out of hand. However, the shouts are so absolutely insubstantial, I find the idea of anyone putting any weight on them beyond a heart-of-the-moment flare absurd (the exception would be when you violate harassment policies, then there is a problem). And as many have said, if they truly eat anyone up inside, shoutsoff is your messiah.

No. I did not claim -all- these people are. Some are, and a lot of people are leaving due to it. Don't read more into my words than what was said. Though, in all reality, a lot of them are no -better- than novices, considering the skill level.

I'm not sure you understand how frustrating it is having to justify to people why you were allowed to raid without any oposition.
