I also think it is worth noting that 95% of the time when someone releases the Gorgogs, it is me. I want that damn Necromentate to die, and I am of the opinion that Celest should suck it up and help me do it.

Of course, they totally hate the Gorgogs and disagree. We have spats about it so I'm not like 100% pro-Celest. I'm really more anti-Taint and willing to do what it takes to ensure my goals. If helping Celest helps me, I'm game.
ferlas2006-02-01 10:01:27
Is it just me or do you think there should be more conflict between celest and seren, I mean theres already some basis for it their and amaru seems to be pushing the already existing roleplay to get this, I mean its in celests best interests to take the fae and make cherubs and serens already kill angels, it just seems like theres a big fascet of roleplay open and only amaru seems to be going for it, Or was last I looked dont know if he still is any more or he may have given up?
Narsrim2006-02-01 10:05:25
It is in Celest's best interest to keep me interested in defending Celestia far more than gathering Fae for Raziela smile.gif

From an entirely OOC perspective, I like the Gorgogs being out. More bashing. Yay... Sure, we lose out on a few spikes for a bit... but -really- not many. Pre-Kebira, there were probably 10 *shrug* max 20 spikes going in every month. The only way it's annoying is because Magnagora doesn't have that damn bridge any more, and because the Gorgogs gather in the harbour, we lose novices and near-novices who are trying to get around the west side of the city. IC, Gorgogs = bad bad bad... but because it's -always- you, Narsrim, Aiakon gets a moment to crow to his Celestian contacts about the ridiculousness of the Celest/Serenwilde alliance... and then, sometimes Celest closes it, sometimes we do.. but it's an honours title... even if the quest is a sodding arse.

Seren kill angels? That's news to me. Every Seren I know who goes to Celestia goes there to protect it. Narsrim, Munsia, Nejii on occasion, and a couple others. The rest leave it well enough alone.

The day Celest as an organisation (not just Amaru and Ceres) starts doing things like attacking and killing Fae and raiding Serenwilde I'm sure Serenwilde will kick their arse as much as the next organisation with a good reason to, but until then it's just as viable and reasonable to have Serenwilde be on fairly good terms with them. Nejii is more pro-Celest than most in the Wilde, and in his ideal world a somewhat reformed Celest that listened to what Serenwilde damn well told them instead of doing their own things and continuing with their original purpose - healing the seas of Lusternia - and Serenwilde cooperate and coexist, but in a more realistic situation he's more than happy to just keep things reasonably standoffish except for on an individual basis. He certainly has no desire to cause MORE conflict than there already is.
Anisu2006-02-01 14:10:33
From the time I have been a poweraid (that is a little more then half an ooc year) I have only seen a seren kill an angel on Celestia once.

Celest can't kill fae, and there is no peacefull way to force Seren fae to the light without resorting to using Glomdoring's shadowcakes. So even if we could fend of Narsrim's wrath there isn't a real possibility at this moment for Celest to even abduct Serenwilde's fae.

Narsrim is also one of the reasons I immediatly inform serenwilde when I see enemies in their villages and such, myself and some others will also rally to their villages to help defend them because Narsrim comes to Celest's aid. Infact there have been times when there wasn't a single Seren defender in the realms and Celestians where thus the only ones defending Rockholm.

I don't think there is anything really wrong about that way of working, true it's a very fragile peace but both Serenwilde and Celest have decided to take on the bigger enemy first, namely taint.
Shiri2006-02-01 14:12:32
Yeah, occasionally a few of the Celestians will help me out pointing out some sneaky tainted bugger running around our villages as well. And though it's kind of shaky we occasionally get villages with each others' help.

Down with taint!

Drayakir- I'm glad you enjoyed it and I hope you learned a bit. I saw you had your demense effects up for us once and it hindered us greatly. Overpowered geo-demense! I'm also glad to see that you aren't one of the 10,000 people leaving Lusternia as Nymerya states. *grin*

Malicia...a fitting name for her.

Vicious. Goodness and Justice always prevail. Hopefully unlike this thread.

I have a quasi-related question, mostly for those who go on and on about RAR TAINT BAD KILL TAINT and such. It seems to me that you all truly despise the taint on more than just an IC level. It sounds like you belive that the people playing those you consider tainted to be evil and you must do everything in your power to make sure they pay for their despicable choices at every opportunity. Note that I am sure this happens the reverse too, where people believe that those behind the Celenwilders and Serlestians are actually horrible people that must be punished. I get this from the forums, where people splash their anti-whatever slogans wherever they have opportunity. Of course, in the game I would EXPECT those people to be reasonably aggressive towards individuals they bear emnity towards, but the level of hatred that Im seeing would definately blend into the realm of unsportsmanlike reactions and what could tentatively be called 'griefing' to some extent.

Do you like watch any contact sports... ever play one? People can get intense. People can be blindly devoted to their team, wishing for rivals to just get totally annihilated. Does that mean if I saw a certain person in real life I'd attack them? No, not under normal circumstances smile.gif

That's rather what I've been saying. In fact, that's my definition of bad sportsmanship.

Which is great. It's slightly more American than my refined British tastes like to stretch to... but I accept that it's part of the fun. Trouble is, if yout rivals get too totally annihiliated, then there isn't a game any more because you've got nothing to fight against. Which is why, I define good sportsmanship as OOC pleasantries with occasional fun banter, but not all out viciousness. That just isn't nice.

But reality check, the rival that we are talking about is Magnagora and they aren't getting weaker weaker and weaker. Hell, it is quite the opposite with their influx on titans.

Hi, mr. Faeslayer. Magnagora isn't the only rival you like to go against, or direct stupid shouts towards. Why are you only talking about the one organization, and not all organizations you take these actions against?

I consider Glomdoring to be "under" Magnagora both as its lap dog and its step child. Magnagora has often came to the rescue so... my point stands.

No, it really doesn't.

Whatever. Kaervas and Tzara were on tree duty earlier. Shame, we had already mulched everything we could, but I digress.

So, Serenwilde is an underling of Celest because Amaru comes to defend Faethorn. Okay.

Or Celest is the lapdog / stepchild of Serenwilde because you and Munsia *ALWAYS* show up. Hm.

I'd say that recently we've been doing a heck of a lot more on our own without asking for / seeking assistance from anyone.

What have you done on your own just out of curiosity?
