Ok, heres my idea for Power Ministers and their aides:
POWERLOG
Shows how much that player has brought in, and how much they have withdrawn.
Example:
POWERLOG ARIX
1/31/06 used -2 power at the Pool of Stars
1/31/06 used -2 power at the Pool of Stars
1/31/06 used -2 power at the Pool of Stars
1/31/06 Added 2 power by leading a citizen to the Light
1/31/06 Added 2 power by leading a citizen to the Light
1/31/06 Added 2 power by leading a citizen to the Light
1/31/06 Added 2 power by leading a citizen to the Light
1/31/06 Added 2 power by leading a citizen to the Light
1/31/06 Added 2 power by leading a citizen to the Light
1/31/06 Added 2 power by leading a citizen to the Light
1/31/06 Added 2 power by leading a citizen to the Light

I love that idea. I think all the Power ministers and aides are going to ask for this.
Narsrim2006-01-31 21:03:50
I'm going to take a stab here and say this would be a nightmare to code. I like the idea though.
Unknown2006-01-31 21:05:46
It would only depend on how it's coded (I, for one, have no idea how). It could as well be very easy.

Actually, I think the coding was an issue in the past. This has been requested before and although I cannot remember exactly, I think coding it was an issue. I could be wrong *shrug*

Well, you can already do POWERLOG 0 0 (player) to show what activity that person has done. Just make a little script to tally things up.
Aiakon2006-01-31 21:16:04
I know of people who have little zmud counters...

I don't.

I recently held a Necromentate spiking competition in game.. and counting them every month for a year was an absolute nightmare. It -really- would be extremely helpful...

.. presumably offerings to a divine and the counters for that work in a fairly similar manner?

*shudder* Yeah, thats why I don't volunteer for that stuff, with or without scripts, heh.

AND WHY DOESN'T ANYONE TELL ME THESE THINGS? HUH? HUH?!?!?!?!?1

That's so much easier than sorting through all the spam.

Soll2006-01-31 23:15:31
You can do READLOG . Ie, 'readlog celest 0 0 cityfavour' would show all entries that contain 'cityfavour', today.
Or, 'readlog Isune 5 1 nuts' would show logs with 'nuts' in, in Isune's order, that are after entry five that were logged yesterday.
Arix2006-01-31 23:18:03
meh, it was just an idea

Hey, Xavius...did you know you can do POWERLOG 0 0 ? laugh.gif glare.gif
Shiri2006-02-01 01:22:39
I love how people still don't know this after like a year and a half.

It's -really- not intuitive in the help files...I think I discovered it by accident as power minister in like February last year. Occasionally people will bitch to me about wanting to do it, I'll tell them they can and they'll dance around in glee for a while. biggrin.gif
Eyod2006-02-01 05:53:05
yeah the helpfile should explain the searching function
Aiakon2006-02-01 13:31:44
Oh.. that makes me so terribly irritated. That -really- needs to be helpfiled. Thank you for telling me though.
