I'm curious, and the fact I'm also trying to write a book/info thinggy on him. Even though this is an ingame thing, its sort of long but that goes with researching. If none of you mind, tell me what your characters see Crow as. E.i. A trickster, scavenger, liar. And what does he represent? This is what Nejii told me ingame: "I think that though this may not have been true in the past, what Brother Crow best represents now is the self delusion and the denial of truth in favour of fragile self-assuredness and security."

Thank you very much, Nejii!! I've found Serenwilders to be not so bad as they're made out to be. happy.gif Anyway, if you do answer, I appreciate it. OH! and I'd also like your feelings too, the player's feelings not the character's!

-Cassie/Ksilrinda.

We are as bad as we're made out to be, Nejii is just an exception to the rule.

"Omg Glomdoring sucks poop!"

Now that that's out of my system, I've always seen Crow as a bit of a darker more violent version of Loki from the Norse mythos.

How exactly are Seren made out to be that I'm not? blink.gif

To Elryn, he embodies the madness of Taint-corruption. Also, the inverse of most of what White Hart stands for... deception and trickery instead of honesty and truth, self-aggrandizement and manipulation of others instead of self-enlightenment and understanding of the self, and external pride, powerhunger and cowardice instead of internal nobility, service and courage.

That's really just from an enemy's point of view though. I think the Aspects of Crow are pretty cool in giving a better sense of what he stands for, have you visited the Dark Nest in the Etherglom?

Yea, but was Ksilrinda? It didn't seem it. wacko.gif Oh well.
Unknown2006-02-01 05:03:18
I also think there is another really cool contrast between White Hart/Crow... White Hart seems to imply a transcendance of time, Crow seems to imply an immersion in it (or at least in the present... a healthy disregard for time might be a better way of saying it, maybe?).

Nifty philosophical stuff there. happy.gif

Well..a few Seren's that have talked to me...came off as snobby, arrogant little blahs. Anyway, Avaer thank you for the response. I spend quite a bit of time with either False Memory or Black Sorrow as he's now the Aspect of my nest. White Hart represents time and the knowledge of each one (Past, etc.). Crow...is more of Here and Now, even though False Memory is..past and present.

Blood Thirst=controlling the urges you have, and using them against people.
Black Sorrow=controlling the despair and pain and using it against people.
False Memory=Don't let doubt and fear get into your mind, forget what's bad and replace with good!
Dark Spirit=Use trickery and deciet as your friend.
Crow(overall)=Never, ever let weakness hinder you, use it as a weapon.

My views on Crow and Aspects.

Yeah, unfortunately Elryn would come off that way big time as well. tongue.gif

But that's exactly what I meant, Crow is more about the here and now... excellent way of putting it. smile.gif

I think that's somewhat amusing considering unlike White Hart, all Demon Lords, and all Supernals, if you attack Crow he BOLTS. I mean he runs faster than... Pentu. And that says a lot.

I think that fits in very well with his themes, actually.

While White Hart might stand nobly and die rather than flee a losing battle, Crow seems more likely to be shrewd and calculating, and only fight a battle in which he is certain to win. Using your weaknesses as strengths, and all that. It doesn't necessarily imply fear or cowardice (even though Elryn as a Serenwilder would say it is certainly a form a cowardice).
Unknown2006-02-01 05:58:18
Run and live to fight another day.

You should talk with Nyla IG

By all means, lose interest about Crow after deciding he and the skillset are useless.

I propose we talk about Stag instead. Does anyone have a list of the Stag skillset's abilities?
Unknown2006-02-01 16:18:41
What would you like to know about White Hart?

He stands for self-enlightenment, wisdom, nobility, and transcendence of time, as far as I know.
