The silhouette against the smoke slowly dwindles in size, and standing there is
a small furrikin-sized figure dressed in a shiny silver suit and wearing an
enormous silver helmet.

Narsrim stumbles and pokes himself in the eye.

The figure removes the helmet and reveals the face of a stout female gnome.

Captain Girda Starhopper exclaims, "Greetings, people of this bubble of
reality! We come in peace!"

Dressed in a tight silver suit and fitting silver boots, Grida Starhopper
stands taller than most gnomes. Her hair is of a brown color, tied back into a
tight bun to prevent it from falling in her face. Despite her size she holds
herself at a proud stature, eyeing her surroundings warily.
Captain Girda Starhopper looks to be crushingly strong.

Patchou the Moon Cat prowls around the room, then sits back down and resumes
grooming herself.

Opening his mouth wide, Trader Bob gapes in wonder at Captain Girda Starhopper.

9.1.11 THE AETHERCRAFT SKILL (common)

Aethercraft is a branch of planar magic that involves the ability to merge with

an algontherine entity and manipulate an aethership. There are three basic
aethercraft functions which relate to the basic modules:

Command Chair: Piloting the aethercraft, including joining armadas,
transverseing to other planes, and ramming other ships.

Empathic Grid: Healing hull damage as well as module damage. Also communicating

and scans are done through the empathic grid.

Battle Turret: The ability to use a battle turret to fight aethermonsters as
well as other ships.

Once the basic aethercraft skills are mastered, the aether traveller then may
specialize to be either COMMANDER, EMPATH or COMBATEER.
