I can't tell you how pleased I am that Lusternia is the first IRE game to develop a ship system. As per the announce, I hope you find the system unique in terms of requiring a skilled crew that is able to work well together as well as the entire module system. I'll be wanting more feedback when we turn to the specializations, but please post feedback here on how you are initially finding the mechanics.
Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of aetherbubbles right now, but we do want to add more. You'll find the aetherbubbles are generally for fairly high level players (as we don't imagine low level players to be the main users of aetherships). We have tried to make it interesting with the random aethermonster encounters and being able to siphon energy vortexes for power.
And remember if you are cornered by a swarm of gorgogs, remember ...

Mmm, so far the only thing i would suggest is having a 500cr or a 1000cr artifact for ships, which enables anyone who was on that ship, to auto conglutinate.

I LOVE it. It is completely new - and it gives us a chance to play explorer. Although, I do find that looking for the bubbles a tad bit tedious - especially when you get yourself WAY out there. Also, the bubble places seem pretty interesting, so we do have some fun in trying to figure out all the quests.

I'd agree with Jasper, these are GREAT!! Just a little boring trying to find places. I'm sure in a few months there'll be an aetherway map though, so that will be ok.
Oh, and while I understand the restrictions on moving between ships/bubbles/etc... I think there could be a few exceptions. At least given the length of time it requires moving around in the Aetherways.

I like everything I see so far, and I'm quite determined to get my own, however I'm dissappointed more of those things are not available with credits.

Well, not sure how you would make a map... seriously, aetherspace is huge (if you haven't noticed).

I would love a way to teleport back to the peak to dock. Other than that, loving it.

It's really, really awesome!
I like it a lot!

Ah, when we were playing with aetherships on the test server, of course we had to try out Deepnight. It has an amazing hull strength. However, it is also as slow as molasses, and you almost have to have a speed artifact with a ship that size. (Just thought I'd warn you.)

I think its great. Its not for the feint-hearted, you have to be willing to be lost, skirt death, take risk. If the ship is lost it just becomes an aether manse, right? What happens if you vitae when the ship implodes?

The aethership will "resurrect" itself at the dock on the prime material plane. I believe vitae still works. (Not sure but someone must know!)
Unknown2006-02-04 07:10:49
Vitae works, aye.
Unknown2006-02-04 07:11:25
I'm assuming the empath will be able to sense directions to other ships, or something... anything that will help us find our way back.

I love it! I DISCOVERED CANDYLAND! WOOOT GO CANDY PEOPLE GO REVOLUTION! GO LICORICE DYNASTY!
Unknown2006-02-04 07:14:45
Oh, God, Ialie, what have you done?!
Unknown2006-02-04 07:16:15
Oh, also... I think the experience each of these creatures is worth could be increased a lot. For the number of people it is likely to be shared between, and the cost to hunt bother in power and gold, it doesn't seem very worthy.

My favorite aether bubble!
There actually is a story there regarding the origins of the inhabitants (relating to an Elder God) if you dig deep enough.

Agreed. I've gained 2% our whole trip.
Unknown2006-02-04 07:26:25
I've barely gained 1%.
Edit: Just a teleport nexus for an aethership would be great.

Are there giant gingerbread men that run around?
