Forget remote - I want a self destruct button for use when being raided - it would have a mandatory audible timer, giving them the chance to get out before it blew or go down with the ship ninja.gif

set self destruct, timer
tesseract to prime
watch fireworks from prime

If this can still be done in an aethership, it's going to make raiding one very, very difficult. happy.gif

I hope you can't do it while flying, although at this moment Reinforced doors (accually expensive invesment) Would most make it so that they can only raid one room (so unless you get unlucky and they ram in the pilot room, you can accually get away)

Don't know though, the specialisations probably will prevent such things

Well, depending on the size of the ship, they may have a really good chance of busting in on the grid or turrets or some such, giving a nice little victim. But yeah, reinforced doors are a bit tough in this scenario, as well as being able to just make / delete entrances. Hmm.

Well just being able to make/delete entrances isn't accually as simple as it seems. Ok on a ship like Avaerin it might be easy but take Ealhdun, a 6 room ship. Each room must have atleast 1 exit, you can not destroy an exit when it's the only one. So it's not like you can completly seperate them from the rest. Reinforced doors cost 50k though so I suppose it's justified that these can do that. with a mage you can summon the enemy into a locked room, kill them one by one so that might be a raiding problem.

Hmm, that could be a problem if your ship has reinforced locked doors between every room...

I think thats something the Admin really need to look into. When dealing with Ships, gold is not a limiting factor tongue.gif

What I was trying to say is on the smaller ships like mine, it doesn't really matter as much as your enemy will still be able to get to you farely quick (without doors that is). I think reinforced doors will be a very good investment, atleast between 'levels' in a ship, or towards a last stand room where you summon enemies or something.

Maybe I'm thinking to much about how to defend my little ship dry.gif

OOH! IDEA! A skill for pilots, or maybe another class, that lets you activate and deactivate a timed self desctruct system on your ship. That way, you could set it to self-descruct in 30 minutes when you docked somewhere new, go in, explore, and if you die, your ship returns in 30 minutes. Otherwise, you go back before the 30 minutes are up and reset or turn off the timer... or forget and get stranded biggrin.gif

So umm... if people travel around all over and dodge monsters in aetherspace and they generate, do they ever reset? I swear some areas have 20+ creatures in tight areas now.
