And if there are any more ingame references to Star Wars or Star Trek, I am going to strangle someone. With my mind.

I candyland!
I did the big quest for the pastry side, the ending is hilarious (though Doughboy is still just wandering around outside... not sure if that's actually the end). Thought I'd get an honors line though.

I didn't notice this mentioned but has everyone set their permissions. I know of one lil' cameleon currently lets anyone with access to their manse pilot their ship.
If your happy for this to happen fine, but i would recommend setting some perms because it could be annoying to have your manse being "borrowed"

NO!!!! I already get lost in Nil. I don't want to be lost in some aetherpit
At Shorlen: Astral's already proven that you don't need a reason for a place to turn into a warzone for the nations. My only concern is that it comes a full on requirement for survival. I mean dang, Magnagora already has:
- The sea battles
- The gorgog rift
- The warrior kelpies
- Spikings
- The Catacombs
- Each claimed village
- Earth plane
- and Cosmic plane
ALL to watch over and worry about just to keep alive. We don't need Aethership armadas shooting at our Megalith as well. I'm sure between the Power you can gather, odd places with Divine knows what goodies, and not-even-the-Divine-knows what else being up there, there will be plenty of insane off-ship/on-ship/between-ship fights going on.
Meanwhile Jacquin will happily take care of the fort back home.

Come on Trader Bob. More turrets. The Geomantic Mountain Manse needs some way of defending itself.

One idea that could be implemented--if you could pull it off--would be having a section of space called the Aether Archipelligo(sp?). Instead of fixed locations, these have random bubbles generated via a random routine every Lusternian month or something.
While it would not allow questing, you'd get some potential bashing/harvesting areas. A bubble could have a couple-dozen rooms, a random environment, and random creatures or herbs. It would also prevent people from getting bored.
I know there are random creatures, but maybe random denzien ships with standard designs? Want to trade with a gnome ship? Want to raid it?
Depending on how big Aetherspace is, I could really see an "outer rim", of players living mostly out there, never going home, depending on their own skills, harvesting, and trade with traders to survive. It's also a great way to be safe--you can't cubix or teleport to a far-away aethership, you gotta go there the hard way.

I like that... a lot.
Saran2006-02-04 15:39:56
I believe Hajamin said that there would never be an area just to bash. If there is another purpose maybe...
Unknown2006-02-04 15:54:07
Well, there are random encounters. I could see them at least making random ships.
Shamarah2006-02-04 15:55:08
NPC ships would be awesome.

A command to stop watching the movement spam would be nice too, for stations other than the commander.
Just so we can focus on what we need to.

or actually be able to read the ship channel, it's sort of hard when your buffer is half full in about 30 seconds of movement.

Aetherships are absolutely amazing <33333333 other than the headache I get from all the spam this has got to be the coolest thing ever implemented ! THANK YOU!
