Would it be possible for Nexus to emulate an ASNI VT100 or something where you control positioning, like old ASCII games that did maps.

I doubt it, but if so, it could eliminate the headaches of watching the map. You could have a special ship mode where you constantly see the map updated in the corner and all the other stuff below it.

Yeah, sorry about the stock issues in the Algontherine Hatchery, the automatic restock isn't fast enough to deal with the massive demand we've had, so we've been restocking the shop manually.

Antennae Diamonut (150 credits)
- Increase radius of ship scan.
- ATTACH TO < empathic grid>

What does it do?

I bought it thinking it would make my map bigger but it doesn't.
Sylphas2006-02-04 17:32:46
What the hell is a Diamonut anyway? Just some made up word?
Nymerya2006-02-04 17:34:18
Maybe it's for use with the specialisations?
Saran2006-02-04 17:37:10
Perhaps though i was thinking that it might be helping with finding docks, bubbles and the like
Aiakon2006-02-04 17:46:55
Darlings, I need a map.

I don't like being lost. Especially on a multimillion sovereign aethership which I don't care to lose in the aetherspace. Especially when I have fairly limited time.
Laysus2006-02-04 17:49:07
Looooooove.

No map for you.

Wraith's Wing> your ship.

We did it the HARD way.

Diamonuts are very rare items that exist somewhere in the aetherways. The gnomes can carve them into the artifacts that Bob sells. Rumour is that you can actually make some very good profit being a trader in raw diamonuts.

No, I won't tell you more than that. harp.gif
Vix2006-02-04 17:56:57
Shoot, here I was spelling it "Diamount." Blah.

I am not sure what the one I bought does.
Unknown2006-02-04 17:59:45
is it just me or does everything seem really laggy while in aetherspace?

Saran2006-02-04 18:00:45
Should your ship implode or whatever, it will return to the avechna dock (i think) without any of the power you have stored in it ('cept collectors)

So who wants to help me hunt for power later? biggrin.gif
Unknown2006-02-04 18:01:18
The net is either lagging in general, or there's just more output when using the maps. Or their running debug/tracing on the server to catch errors.
Unknown2006-02-04 18:01:25
Can we get tradeskill producable items for the ships? (I'm particularly thinking of forging since we forgers still have rather limited profits) We would have to see the specializations first I suppose, but there could be such items as navigation logs by bookbinders, or some sort of powerstone based "fuel" from alchemists, or armored bulkheads and all that jazz for forgers.

Rough ideas, but maybe they can come out okay... biggrin.gif

it is not just aetherspace
