I'm glad I came back, too. I love Lusty. I tried Imperian quite a few times. I remember that I was in love with that game when it frist came out. But the essays and all that other crap got on my freakin' nerves. That new merchant thing they have now seems pretty cool. Not sure if its cool enough to draw me back for a look-see, though.
Oh, and it seems the threads in Aetolia and Achaea are gone.

I'm looking at the Aetolia one right now.

The Achaea thread is still there. Called "Ships Come a Sailin'" under General.

Ack, I'm slow. I didn't validate my account. That's why I couldn't see the threads.

Well, I am sad to say that I still prefer Imperian currently to Lusternia. It isn't full of idiots, but the forums aren't the most representative place anyway (same as Lusternian forums population isn't representative of the overall level of whininess, hate and inmature complaints of the game I think)
Less conflict, less unexpected things, less demands on my time in the form of having to do things constantly... Less needs for credits to keep up with everything coming out, less people trying to find an excuse to kill me because they can do it once a month (or they friends can). No candyland place, not a feeling of being in bopalopia all around, not tons and tons and tons of buffs all around that make people invencible, not titans everywhere
And the RP is actually comparable. Pity the history isn't so deep as lusternia's, and the tradeskill system in Lusternia is actually much more fun and gave me my first chance to have a shop.
Of course I am a simple gamer and I dislike expensive toys, so I prefer places where I don't have such a lot of gadgets that demand credits, and the feeling of being utterly lost after a lot of time without playing also helps. Lusternia is just too chaotic
Of course Lusternia can beat Achaea and Aetolia together with a hand behind its back.
