Since "quitting" Lusternia, I've found myself playing GunBound quite a bit.
It's a nifty little game: a bit like Worms, if anyone's played that, only with vehicles instead of weapons. When you log in, you first join a server, and then browse to find a game (or make your own). Once done, you are placed on a team (1V1, 2V2, 3V3 or 4V4), you select a vehicle (there are numerous ones to choose from - everything from a car with a mounted gun to a wooden construct that fires boomerangs), and enter. Then it's a CUTESY CARTOON FIGHT TO THE DEATH.
Each character takes turns to move and attack. Simplistic controls: arrow keys to move, space bar to fire (holding it down charges the weapon; the longer it's held down the further the attack goes) and tab to switch weapons (each vehicle has three weapons: a basic one, a slight variant that does similar damage, and an "ultimate" attack that does much greater damage but takes time to charge up).
You get points for performing different things during the game (e.g. you might get 10 points for scoring 500 damage in a game, or 20 points for killing someone of the opposing team, or even -10 for team-killing), and these points can eventually be traded in for items that change the appearance and statistics of your character (e.g. there are outfits that can increase the amount of points you get, or the amount of damage you do). Also you raise in ranking as you go up, allowing you to join the "higher" servers and play with people of greater and greater skill.
Anyone else play?
