Lack of sleep

I have fallen asleep in my computer chair while piloting an aethership three times so far, and counting. I think I ran in circles a bit, fingers slowing poking away at my numpad, while the rest of the crew went on and on asking what the heck I was doing. I have also fallen asleep in the middle of two social events, and even skipped Japanese lessons this week because I was too tired.

Admins, I blame you. You have made something that has caught my interest quite powerfully, and I just wanted to say, simply:

Thank you. wub.gif

Sounds like we'll be getting our first player death soon, we'll be up there in the fabeled row of Everquest and World of Warcraft that have starved players to death! Muhahaha!

(Seriously though, don't forget to eat tongue.gif)

I only once launched with food cooking and had to beg a roommate to take it off the burner before it burned tongue.gif

Seriously though, I don't forget to eat any more than usual. dry.gif

It isn't? That explains my recent death by starvation. Ah well, I guess I ought to get on with my life. So to speak.

You can accually die because of malnutrition by just eating fast food, I have seen people in hospital with scurvy because of it, also ofcourse the entire slipping of veins, hearthattacks (by fat or a bad Kalium level in your blood) ...

my prof always said instead of spending 20 euro on a Mcdo, spend 25 for a nice restaurant, it will safe you alot of money
Nymerya2006-02-07 13:52:53
I wish this had been brought out when I just had my really bad patch of insomnia, and didn't sleep for three days straight...
Unknown2006-02-07 13:55:19
but you can't sleep, the aetherspace is filling with monsters!!!

...seriously it is, the Avaerin had to clear out a swarm of about 15-20 monsters right next to one of the prime docks, it was so crowded out there.

soo, no sleep for you, make aetherspace safe for the little ships!
ferlas2006-02-07 13:58:55
Or spend a fiver and make it yourself!

psh, I was a student, my dorm kitchen existed out of a 'field electrical fire' which had the settings cook a can of hotdogs or keep your platter warm, a microwave, a fungus infested fridge and an odd looking toaster.

I always ate at the student resto, nice food for 5 euro, and healthy. But this doesn't help when you are hungry at 1 AM at a party wink.gif

And lets face it 80% of university students are to lazy to cook themselves.
ferlas2006-02-07 14:24:21
Toast is the ultimate student food, 60p for bread, one or two pound for butter then you have like enough food for a week for two people, thats what your little electrical fire is for. But party food isnt really ment to be healty anyway tongue.gif cause your really worrying about your figure when your drinking wine at one in the morning.

biggrin.gif Yes I can! dry.gif if the complaints are really compliments and meant good naturely, that is, which they are.
Diamondais2006-02-07 23:37:56
Quick, steal the dimes! wink.gif

zap.gif <--- me after trying to steal Lisaera's dimes, as well as any who follow suite.

Its the most interesting thing Ive seen from all the IRE games Ive played, and Im really glad it came out because I was losing interest in Lusternia because of all the things going on right now in my life. Thank you Admin, for creating wonderful things for us we truely love you even after all our complaining wub.gif grouphug.gif

I'm going to be home sick after my operation next week, except to see me floating about the Aetherspace.

That gives me an idea actually...jetpacks! Hi ho Silver, away! (Don't ask me why jetpacks and that phrase are connected, they just are)
Joli2006-02-08 01:10:48
Man.. Elcyrion sounds excited. tongue.gif

I actually didn't eat that much during the holidays because talking to someone is so much more exciting then digging around in my freezer. Which explains all my "Wow, that sounds like food." or "I wonder if I can eat it." comments.

I feel so unloved :weep:

I kick butt while retardedly tired, sometimes. This month I had 25 essence I gathered up after hunting grubs and lindwyrms in earth for about a straight hour because I couldn't find the archway back to ethereal and I kept stopping to imagine the mountains of madness in a painting. When I got home it took me so long to get to the wyrdling that I lost 15 via decay(and of course like 50 before that during the hour I walked around Earth). Before that, after I finally left Earth I forgot I even had essence and thereby that it decays quick and wandered through faethorn for 10 minutes. I went so far on that little trip off to another world of semi-conciousness that I thought it would be a great idea to send lisaera direct tells about Sluagh and how they should be implemented. I didn't even know I had such an interest in Fae. To boot, I just stopped hunting aslarans in the middle of the camp to open up the forums and post like three long paragraphs in that thread 'when do we get to see...', about the elves from middle-earth or something. I don't even remember.

But somehow I function in spars. You've seen Samurai Champloo, when Fuu wakes Jin and Mugen up after they're all drunk from drinking with that older woman, and forces them to do a street show of swordsmanship. They're all hung over and 3/4ths asleep, and stumble/drag themselves to their places, but when the moment of strike arrives they're flawless? Not like drunken master kung fu, but just a sudden burst of perfection. I love it.

However strange it is, despite the fact fitting the MUD in with university classes, work, so on is kicking my butt, I still feel it's worth it. That either says leagues about the quality of Lusternia, or it says leagues about my reasoning ability at the current time.

Note: I just realized the passage of beginning, middle and end within the story I'm telling in the first paragraph of this post goes in the order of Beginning, end, middle.

Note2: I didn't know it until now, but I've been listening to the same Midicronica song for four straight hours. I didn't know any music was on.

- Percy

extra hindsight note: I refer to Glomdoring as 'home' and refer to today as 'this month'
