Cults start out with just a cult leader and every night instead of doing a kill, it picks someone to recruit. If the leader dies no more people can be recruited.
Shiri2006-03-18 13:36:03
But that's hidden?
Shamarah2006-03-18 13:37:21
Uh, it'd be kinda pointless if it wasn't, because then you'd always know who to lynch.
Shiri2006-03-18 13:42:59
Well it wouldn't have to be a specific one...pshhhh.
Bau2006-03-18 14:03:07
Of course we've had a cult before. I was Scuchi Mabuchi.
Let's hope our guardian keeps getting lucky. Cults are too much fun for the bad guys

Since when are you in this game?
Cwin2006-03-18 15:20:40
Shiri, weren't you with me in that game with two scum? That had a cult in it. Nasty, ugly things. Also, since deaths don't give rolls, we'll never know until the game's over if there's a cult around.
Blah, I'm panicing myself. Still, it's important to understand about them. Nejii's death, meanwhile, hints at an assassin role.
I know my gut is telling me that this game is NOT normal at all. I wouldn't be suprised if the bad guys kill at day and Night is reserved for the good guy roles.

More about cults:
Cults are VERY...flexable... There's so many different version it's silly. Commonly, though, it starts off with one leader. Each night, the leader picks one person to become a member. Meanwhile, the members work to ruin the vote and take out mafia/townsfolk/whatever. Should cult members equal the non cult they win. If the leader dies, the cult can't recruit, but can still win. They usualy aren't able to make kills, though last game with them gave them that ability.
We may not have a normal cult because this setup gives them a MASS of power. We may have some recruity cultish-thing, though.
Best way to tell will be the ways we always tell bad guys: Read the posts, watch for clues, and listen to the gut.

Well, I don't really know anything about cults but one thing that should of been noticed is there was no day kill until Fritz and Req came back, naturally this leads me to beleive one of them was involved - so I think the best path is to lynch one and let god sort them out so to speak.
EDIT: Also what does FoS mean? I am new to online mafia..
VOTE: Fritz

FoS = Finger or Suspicion, it only means you consider someone suspicious. It doesn't accomplish anything besides voicing your suspicions.

I'm not. *eyeshift* You haven't been in IRC enough. Someone delete my posts, please?
Cwin2006-03-19 00:27:42
Bah, leave Bau in. It's no harm.
And FoS is used when you either want the topic of discussion to go towards one person or else have suspicions of a person but not enough to kill.
I hate early lynchings unless we KNOW who it is.

It's fairly common knowledge to some, but I'm Kiarlea. If you'd read back to the game before last, I was Scuchi Mabuchi, the cult leader. Tada.
Sorry, I'll post as Kia again next time. *eyeshift*

I blame Ibaesha for telling me it was daytime.

It's early morning and as the discussion barely begins, Torak drops dead.
Turning him over, you discover that Torak is really Galvadore
Goodnight! PM choices to me.

Yeah, Cwin is right. Deaths happen at daytime. Meh.

Subtitle change thanks to Shiri because it's better that way.

Meh. Sorry
Didn't notice it was night already. And now, I'm really quiet.
