Kiarlea2006-04-23 10:58:14
Nothing at all.

In that case... it's now been four days.

Sorry Cwin....

vote Cwin
Kiarlea2006-04-25 10:52:07
Ok, so I posted two days ago. THat's a lynch on Cwin. It's now night-time. If this game is even still going to finish. You all suck.
Iridiel2006-04-25 10:54:17
I am here, but i am not saying anything because theoretically it's nightime and we're not allowed to talk further.
Unknown2006-04-25 23:53:04
Sorry everyone, I've been out and about and not near a computer at all for the last little bit. Cwin has indeed been lynched, but I'm at work and don't have all my information here. Let me see if I can get the role name somehow tongue.gif.

But anyway, night choices to me. Assuming people still want to play?
Unknown2006-04-26 15:55:47
I say we keep playing. Or just simultaneously kill anyone who doesn't post in the next 4-5 days. Or whatever.
Xenthos2006-04-26 16:08:11
*twitches in his sleep, obviously having a dream about running away from something*
Unknown2006-04-29 04:29:45
I hereby declare myself the winner.

The end.

(are we done, then? Because if we are, I want to know how it was set up.)
Unknown2006-04-29 04:51:11
I guess we are done since no one has messaged me any night messages?
Iridiel2006-04-29 21:39:51
We're still waiting to know who was Cwyn?
Shiri2006-04-30 08:32:18
Ibby says I can post that Cwin was Nymerya. unsure.gif
Kiarlea2006-04-30 14:35:58
Might as well just declare it over. It's not going anywhere, and I'm getting frustrated just coming back to see nothing whatsoever has happened.
Unknown2006-05-01 04:50:54
Alright, it's over then. I'll post up all the info tonight.

Mafia:

Ibaesha (Iridiel) - sent
Well if it isn’t the Basin’s most esteemed Faeling cook extraordinaire, Ibaesha! What’s happening Ibby? I heard about that catering mishap in Lisaera’s fulcrux, real shame that. How were you meant to know She was allergic to peanuts? Personally, I think it was real mean of her to take your wings away as punishment, but that’s just me.

But, don’t worry, you have your family, Geb (Shamarah) and Kalodan (Kiarlea), with you, and they’ll help you get back at the Divine wench! The three of you are a pretty strong team - Faeling Power! - and I’m sure you can cook up a little mischief with that Spatula of yours. Be careful where you swing that thing though, it’s pretty darn hefty and you’ll confuse any poor sod that gets a smack across the face with that! Oh and it’s got a few magical properties too, doesn’t it? I bet you can cook up a storm.

(Each morning you can ‘wack’ someone with the spatula by PM-ing me ’wack laneth’, for example. This will disrupt their actions for that night. You will not be able to make the night kill for your team if you use this ability. Also, you are able to ‘cook’ votes. During the day, if you vote for the person who does not get lynched I will assume you are ‘cooking’ your vote. This means the next day in the thread you can ‘cook laneth’ for example, and your vote will count for two (or three or four, etc, depending how many days you have been cooking). It’s up to you how you explain this to others in the thread.

You are against Lisaera, which means you win when Geb , Kalodan and yourself equal or outnumber the rest. You can discuss the happenings of the day with them each night but not outside of the thread during the day. One of you must make a kill each night and inform me of whom the intended target is. )

Geb (Shamarah) - sent
Geb you little brute, how’s it going? You know, for a Faeling, you’re pretty intimidating! Who would have thought something so small could cause some much trouble? I guess size doesn’t matter after all, hey?

I’m sure your wife Ibaeshae (Iridiel) has told you and Kalodan (Kiarlea) what that meanie Lisaera did to her, and it’s time for some payback. You’re the scariest of the three – as scary as a Faeling can be, anyway – so don’t be afraid to get in harms way for the sake of the others.

(Any night actions directed at you will be reflected back at the one who cast them. For example, if Laneth were to try to vigilante kill you; he would end up snuffing out his own life. This applies to all roles except those of your teammate and those of a scryer. If someone tried to investigate you they will get a ‘non town’ verdict, unless you use your ability to cloak yourself. To do this you must send ‘cloak me’ to me. If you do use this ability you will not be able to make the kill for your team that night.

You are against Lisaera, which means you win when Ibaesha , Kalodan and yourself equal or outnumber the rest. You can discuss the happenings of the day with them each night but not outside of the thread during the day. One of you must make a kill each night and inform me of whom the intended target is. )

Kalodan (Kiarlea) - sent
It’s little Kalo! How are you? Oi, watch it, no trying to smoosh me, ya runt. You are a tiny little bugger, aren’t you? Your mum Ibaesha (Iridial) and dad Geb (Shamarah) certainly didn’t mess around making you. One, two, done! Oh well, being small isn’t so bad. I have a feeling your folks are going to be sending you on an errand or two, a little snooping around to find out about Lisaera and her loyal band of sicklings. Yes, that’s right, Liseara’s gone bad! Your mummy said so!

(Each night you can ‘investigate Laneth’s home’ for example, to see if you find something interesting about that person. If you do this you cannot make the kill for your team that night.

You are against Lisaera, which means you win when Geb , Ibaesha and yourself equal or outnumber the rest. You can discuss the happenings of the day with them each night but not outside of the thread during the day. One of you must make a kill each night and inform me of whom the intended target is. )

Town:
Nejii (Xenthos) – runner - sent
Ah you sly little fox Nejii, you always were pretty darn quick on them paws, aye? You’re not bad with an Athame but you could use a little spine – all you ever seem to do is run when you’re in a little danger. For shame, Nejii, a Regent really should set a better example.

(You automatically ‘run’ if it comes to the point of being lynched. That is, you can never be lynched. You can still be killed by other means. You win with the town.)

Tsuki (Shiri) – jack of all trades – Sent - confirmed
Esteemed High Priestess of the Moondancers, Elfen of the Forests of Serenwilde and respected woman of the Basin, you are Tsuki. Unbeknownst to many others, you’re actually one of those freaky little Changeling things! Every day you have the compulsion to shift your form into something new. But, apparently, your imagination isn’t so good; you keep recycling the same four identities each time.

(You are a ‘jack of all trades’ which means your role changes each day. At the beginning of each day send me a number from 1-4 and I will assign you one of the following roles accordingly. It will be completely random. You must do this each day and each time you do, that role will be removed from the list and you will have less to choose from. Once you have gone through all four, you start again with four choices in a different random order.)

*Elcyrion - Well, you don’t actually become Elcyrion, you’re not that good. You just look a bit like Him and somehow manage the whole mist-body thing he’s got going on.
(Any actions targeted at you during a night when are you Elcyrion will fail)

*Guido – You remember him, right? When you become Guido – the filthy rotten insane Tae’dae – you tend to mess everything up for everyone.
(All actions during a night you are Guido will randomly hit other people)

*Laneth – Quite, unassuming, slightly fanatical Laneth. Nothing too special about him I’m sorry, but you apparently like to take his form from time to time
(Plain townie)

*Gregori – Loud, arrogant and somewhat obnoxious, your voice will certainly be heard when you take on this form.
(Your vote will count as double, but the second vote will appear as ??? on the vote list. You will be a plain townie at night)

Torak (Navaryn) – Scryer - sent
Torak you bestial kitty, glad you could join us. I know you don’t really have a clue what you’re doing here, that’s ok, and the others don’t either. All will be revealed in time. You will need to use your swiftness and cunning to help the others though, so be sure you stay alert

(You are a scryer. This means each night you can ‘investigate laneth’ for example, and I will let you know whether he is pro town or not. You win with the town)

Galvadore (Torak) – Guardian - sent
Caring Galvadore, Guardian Dracnari of the people, what would they do without you? So noble is your cause and true your shield, your fellow Basin members will surely need you in the days to come

(You are a Guardian. Each night you can protect someone from any kind of death. You cannot protect yourself. You win with the town.)

Annabelle (Shorlen) – Role Theif – sent - confirmed
Annabelle, you filthy little Merian hussy, what are you doing here? You know what I heard? I heard that the others don’t like you very much, that they were sick of you cuddling and pinching their bottoms and wheedling your way into their stash of gold. Well you’re a good girl, aren’t you? You just want what’s best for the Basin – why shouldn’t you gain a little along the way? – And you know the right way to be about things. You show ‘em how it’s done!

(You are a role thief, more or less. Each ODD morning, i.e. before someone is lynched, you can send me the name of a person you want to steal the power of and you will gain that power for the coming night. You will know what the person can do and be able to use their ability, not what their actual role or affiliation is. You are not forced to steal an ability for a night but if you do you will be forced to use it. You win with the town.)

Murphy (Laxinova) – day vig - sent
Please don’t hurt me, Murphy! Concentrate your efforts on those folks trying to cause trouble among the people. Stalk among the people of the Basin using your Aslaran senses and strike mercilessly with your weapons to bring down the prissy scum!

(You are a day vigilante with three kills up your sleeve. You can submit to me via pm, before a lynch has happened, who you would like to kill. If you do so your kill will end the day and we will move to night. You win with the town.)

Nymerya (Cwin) – role blocker - sent
Nymerya, Master Viscanti and fabled Nihilist of Magnagora, you are not one to be trifled with. Your deathly knowledge of the veil between life and death enable you to step between what is and twist it into what is not.

(You are a role blocker. Each night you can pm me to ‘block laneth’ for example, and any night actions he takes will be blocked. You win with the town)

Ialie (requiem dot exe) – self protector - sent
Pretty little Librarian of Serenwilde, Ialie, that’s who you are! But you knew that. You don’t really mean to harm anyone, you just want to be about your books and Ezyth, that’s all. Maybe an aetherflight or two and you’d be happy. There is trouble in the Basin though and you are one of the few who are capable enough to deal with the problem

(You are a self protector. Every second night you can protect yourself from all harm. You cannot save up protections. You win with the town)

MOD NOTE: Last person to kill or Lynch Ialie is killed by Ezyth.

Aesyra (PercivalEdmundChung) – reviver - sent
You are Aesyra, fearsome Avatar of Lord Hajamin and first Demigod to grace the Basin. So great is your power you are able to bring life where death stood only moments earlier. Use your power and wisdom together, the Basin is relying on you.

(You are a reviver. Each night you have the ability to bring someone back to life. You cannot revive yourself. You win with the town)
Unknown2006-05-02 00:49:39
Any comments? I put quite a bit of thought and work into this, even if it did fall apart tongue.gif.
Unknown2006-05-02 00:56:43
I really like the setup here. The only potential issue is the reviver. Without a limit of some sort, the game won't even really start until we kill off Aesyra because she'll just resurrect everyone.

Other than that it looks really cool and I'm sorry we didn't get to finish it off.

And good on the bluff, Shamarah. I was completely convinced. Not that it did you much good, but still.
Unknown2006-05-02 01:04:52
The reviver is limited because they never know if they are reviving a pro town person or a mafia person.
Shiri2006-05-02 01:24:38
As Ibby commented to me, I don't think not knowing whose side someone is on really works here. It just got confusing so we didn't know what was going on and I think that's one of the reason it all slowed down and died off.

(And I may have to beat you up for making Nejii a coward. ninja.gif)
Unknown2006-05-02 01:38:56
That's the way the cookie crumbled...or what popped into my head first, who knows tongue.gif.

Anyway, someone is free to run a simpler game of mafia if they like. I don't have the time to run it, but I should be on enough to post every day or so if my hours at work keep up and or I visit the uni library.
