Ok, here's a thread for testing some of the new features of aetherships, to see if there are any problems or just interesting results.
During a test Nejii, Tsuki and myself conducted in which we fired an upgraded turret against the ship itself, we discovered the following:
1. Our regent EDIT: doesn't shed fur everywhere. ~Shiri~
2. It takes 40 empath balances to heal a critically damaged module back to full.
3. The first blast against a shielded ship only damages the shield module slightly.
4. After the shield is partially damaged, blast damage may bypass the shield and be distributed across all modules (except the ramhead for some reason).
5. Light damage means that the module will occasionally fail to work, consuming its balance once.
6. A starburst turret deals between 500-550 damage to an unshielded hull.
7. A spider grid can heal between 450-550 hull damage, on a slower balance than a lightning turret.
8. It took 16 turret blasts to get the shield to critical, 7 of which bypassed the shield.

So even a single upgraded turret can pretty much shred a ship? I can see this getting quite nasty with two other turrets throwing afflictions, and one just pounding on the ship. Maybe the commander abilities will do a lot more to help than I think they will.
