Daganev, you'd love one of my friends. He's a hard rocker, kinda like you!

In no particular order:

Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire
Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit
Bob Dylan - Mr Tambourine Man
Flogging Molly - Within a Mile of Home
Tricky - Black Steel (In The Hour of Chaos)
The Whitlams - Buy Now Pay Later (Charlie No. 2)
Sage Francis - Slow Down Ghandi
Sublime - Doin' Time
The Pixies - Where Is My Mind?
The Postal Service - The District Sleeps Alone Tonight
Them - Directions to My Special Place

Of course, I have favourite albums (It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, the Magnolia Soundtrack, the DJ Craze mix of the Drum and Bass Warfare), but those would be most of the songs.

Edit: And of course, The Doors - The End and Wagner's Ring Cycle, in particular, the Ride of the Valkyries.

"Pure Morning" by Placebo

Not heard that song in years.

Like Massive Attack, by any change? Teardrop might be worth a look for you.

Oh my god.. Shikari.. I officially swear my allegience to you. Not only is that an incredible song, its also the intro track to my favorite show - House!

And I wub.gif Placebo. I'm so happy that they're coming out with a new CD. Though its so hard, being a west coaster, to find anyone who even really knows who they are around here, given that they dwell primarily 'across the pond' tongue.gif

While I think of it, I'd also suggest DJ Shadow if you're a Massive fan (I've actually had the priviledge of seeing Massive Attack, Placebo, AND Shadow live in small venues (different shows)). The guy is incredible (he has around 60,000 12 inch vinyls) - his 'Endtroducing' album pioneered sampling (every song is made up of so-called 'found audio') in modern tracks. Standout tunes would be Building Steam With a Grain of Salt and the absolutely gorgeous (probably my favourite song of all time) Midnight In A Perfect World.

The other guy I'd recommend would be Tricky. His stuff is getting more towards the hip-hop style (he's actually one of the stalwarts of the trip-hop genre that Massive Attack hover around the fringe of). Tracks to listen to there would be Black Steel (as above) and his cover of the Cure's The Love Cats.

Rosa Rubicundior, Lilio Candidior
Snow Field
Glass Moon
Owarinai Yume
When All Hope Has Faded
Electrion
Cryptic Marble

One of my all-time favourites would be Rush - Spirit of the Radio without a doubt wink.gif

Disclaimer: I am so not a big music person... I'm a traitor to my generation, yes. (And every other generation, for that matter, heh.) So I can safely say I have very little taste, so don't be shocked.

Anyway, my favourite songs at the moment:

1. Holding out for a hero - Jennifer Saunders (Shrek 2 Soundtrack)
2. Mi Mancherai (Il Postino) - Josh Groban
3. Pure Shores - All Saints
4. Any Shirley Bassey James Bond track ninja.gif
5. Circle of Life (Lion King Soundtrack)
6. Houki Hoshi (Bleach?)
7. Never let go - Josh Groban
8. Where the streets have no name - U2
9. Goodbye my lover - James Blunt
10. Remember When It Rained - Josh Groban

Oooh I forgot that one. How silly of me. That one too.

Probably something by Metallica (black album), U2 or Loreena McKennitt.
Still, my favourite song changes with my mods, wich is quite often.

All of those are from Poem, the best Delerium album ever wub.gif However, for some reason I do not understand, they changed one of the songs on the CD at some point - Terra Firma, I believe - to something stupid sad.gif I can send you the MP3 though if you'd like ninja.gif

If you like Delerium, I recommend looking up Conjure One - it's an album made by most of the Delerium people and some others.

Hmm, songs are too limiting, how about some albums:

Twin Cinema - The New Pornographers
In Between Dream - Jack Johnson
Broken Social Scene - Broken Social Scene
Sea of No Cares - Great Big Sea
The Slow Wonder - AC Newman
Fly - Dixie Chicks
A Ghost is Born - Wilco

I could go on...
