Yes it is a koala. Effing noisy animals, they growl like lions in mating season.

Interesting bit of information there, Quidgy. tongue.gif

I withdraw my argument with you, you prove a point now.

There's been no favours for:

Helping dozens upon dozens of novices to expand the playerbase and remove favoritism.
Donating hundreds upon hundreds of power every day.
Influencing, aside from the worthless claim of wanting to influence just to get a quick CR4 for power hungry fools.
Defending (Exception is, if a big group goes after them only the ones that said CR6's like get favoured.)
"I see what you are doing there."

Bullshit.

I know I have guildfavoured quite a few of my younger Ur'Guard for helping novices, as well as anyone who helps during an actual influence in any capacity (not just fighting) goes on the CF list. If someone messaged me saying "hey, so and so did a good job defending whatever the other day and hasn't been recognised for it" they would probably end up with a favour, and likewise with the power too.

If theres a lack of guild/cityfavours for non-combat related tasks, then its because NOBODY had suggested the individual (that means you, not just the few people who have the ability if they are around at the time) and asking for them to get added to the Chelp favours list.

You forgot to mention they are absolutely vicious and not at all the cuddly cute little things that the media has portrayed due to the few domesticated ones.

It didn't help when Verithrax called everyone at the Megalith weak and all of Magnagora stupid :/

I WAS TRYING TO GET YOU BACK IN, DAMMIT. What did Reiha say about "diplomacy"?! pound.gif

Sorry. sad.gif

This is just how Verithrax plays; I refuse to change my character one inch to get into an org nowadays, because my RP is now officially more important than politics. And he wasn't insulting people, he was saying that Mag was going down the drain (It is. Oh, godess, is it ever) and that he was one of the people with the capacity to help keep it from crumbling.

But since Haiden insisted on taking the 'Everything is Fine' posture, Veri just had to argue with him until it ended like it did. Verithrax is an extremely bitter old man, and whenever things aren't going his way (Because other people are downright thick, for some reason) he gets pissed off.

Or emo, depending on how you look at it.

You would think that your character after years and years of being treated this way by other organizations would learn not to open his mouth and speak his mind until after he has the position. It doesn't have to be an RP change. It can be a learning experience. I sometimes think that people get it in their heads that a character is like a robot and RP is like a program and that no matter what a character will not deviate from this program which I find untrue. Real people do change their minds. They do go through experiences that shape their decisions and change the way they may react to a certain sitiation. Like in your case Verithrax. If somone keeps getting their teeth broken in everytime they call someone out while on their way to get a high position. The person would learn to perhaps keep things on the down low, to perhaps go with the flow, until they have their position. I do not think that would be a change of character at all.. or of rp, but that is just my opinion. Carry on.

A very good point.

A tangental thought I had recently is how easy it is to use your character as an excuse for penile behaviour. One of the reasons I enjoy playing Aiakon is because when I'm in a foul and arsey mood and acting like a phallus, it's perfectly in character. Unfortunately, because Aiakon's bad behaviour isn't in that instance coldly calculated, I may go too far - and in that case, I have to make a conscious effort -not- to congratulate myself on my Roleplay, but to admit that the nastiness was entirely my fault. Every now and again, someone does something a weeny little bit stupid and it ends up on the boards.. and I sigh to myself as I read poor behaviour clothed in roleplay excuses. We're not supposed to be our characters, Ladies and Gentlemen, but sometimes it's hard to avoid. If you've been a dick because IC events have got to OOC you: whether it be victimising someone's character to the extent that it upsets them OOC, or throwing a massive hissy fit and resigning your guild (etc)... just remember that you're not fooling everyone with your 'Ah, but it's my roleplay' excuses, and it would be better for -you- if you were prepared to admit that you're at fault.

Just think how many rubbishy posts we could eliminate if we applied the above principles to every griefing idiots' thread.

Thanks Volg, isn't it cute?

I completely agree with Ialie. I don't know where people got the idea that just because your RP is one way means that your character can NEVER act a certain way. Just think about real life. Even the nicest of nice people will have a freak out at some point and just be mean to someone. Overall they're nice, but that's not their only behavior.

"It pays to be obvious, especially if you have a reputation for subtlety." -- Isaac Asimov

(Basically, it means to me that behavior out of the ordinary can have an even greater impact because no one expects it of you.)

I've done that with Othero before. He had a fairly large racism idea change even if no one ever noticed
