I'm having some serious difficulties making the decision.. and to be perfectly honest, it will probably depend firstly on the final skillsets, and secondly on what everyone else in Magnagora does and where I'm needed. Either Combateer or Commander though... and yes.. ultimately I'll trans it. I don't quite have enough credits to yet.. And I was saving up for other things so it may be a while.. but I will eventually.

I'm going Commander.

Oh, and if a Mod could change the poll, could a third answer be put on the second question for if the person chose option 4 or 5 on the first? Thanks.

There should be an option for people who only want to learn a little, or can only afford to learn a little. I like the skills, I just don't have the lessons to trans any of them right now.

Not Specialize but crew with basic skills
You can learn up to Master. Takes about 30 credits or so and you're still useful against monsters.

12 lessons (2 credits) gets you - the ability to fly around. The ability to heal the hull. The ability to target things and shoot them. All you *really* need of all three jobs.
That's more for cheaper than any other skillset, isn't it?
Sylphas2006-02-17 11:06:36
Very true. Master Aethercraft is excellent, and you don't even need that high.

for normal functions yes, however once battles start happening you'll need a Trans Empath/Commander
I was testing things out, in 3 shots to the ship I was on it took 17 heals from the empath to get the hull/modules up to full. Without Empath skills that cost power battles will be extremely short, whoever shoots first wins.
If there are 3 turrets it would be a lot less important (then empath/commander)that all three are trans I figure.
Suhnaye2006-02-17 22:55:27
Aye, Commanders and Empaths are going to be the important ones for being trans, Combateers, it'll just be usefull, not really imperative.

Would if I understood what you meant.

Just put a third option in question two, "Didn't choose option 1, 2, or 3 for question 1"
The results are only going to be moderately accurate, but I was mostly interested in how many people would be transing their spec, doesn't matter too much who isn't
Daganev2006-02-26 20:34:01
out of curiosity, are the sepcializations available yet?
Unknown2006-02-27 01:15:57
Not yet.
I would suspect there might be an event to unleash the specializations.
