Not to further hijack the topic, but
2005/04/18 04:58:54 - Munsia declared Richter to be a formal enemy. Reason:
Seen at the Glumkis puddle and in the lair of the ebonglom and also entering a
demesne on ethereal WITH visaeris. He is clearly working with them.
2005/04/18 08:59:04 - Gregori disconnected the portal chamber from Deepnight.

Didn't matter that he became an enemy or not, though the timing seems to indicate it was. All that mattered was being a Glom. Wish I could remember at least one of the names that I know got disconnected after switching city/commune...
Shiri2006-02-16 08:17:11
Cronnacht and Taliesin.
Ialie2006-02-16 08:22:56
Cronnacht left? Wow...He was such a hard ass.
Tsuki2006-02-16 08:23:09
Taliesin sounds about right, but Cronnacht sold his to ... Folken?

Wow, ten months later, there's the proof. Seen in ethereal Glomdoring, and seen in, get this, the lair of the Ebonglom. I'm going to ask that every Serenwilder be enemied for standing in Serenwilde, she even put down the bloody reason! You'd think that if you did something stupid, you'd cover it up, but she even put the reason down. Amazing.
Hooowwweevveeerrr, this is me wanting to know what to do, I've been disconnected from Serenwilde for so long that it's not an issue. I want to know what to do about the fact I have a 100 room manse for everyone, that not everyone can use.

Ahh. I was just thinking of two Seren who left and had manses. Wasn't sure what actually happened to them individually.

The truth of Lusternia is, unfortunately - belong to an organization, make enemies without doing a thing. It's the way things are. For Deepnight to be truly neutral, it has to be seen as neutral, and not as Glomdorian. Because you are Glomdorian, it is seen as Glomdorian.

1. You seem to be avoiding (intentionally, I feel) the fact that all persons who are tainted had their manses removed. Even if Munsia hadn't enemied you and Gregori had disconnected it at that time, it would have still been removed.
2. Glomdoring does this exact same thing. Celestians who have resurrected me have been enemied to Glomdoring. So... don't act as if only Serenwilde is quick to enemy over minor issues because that's not the case.
3. Everyone can access your manse from the aetherplex. Anyone can enter a manse, exit aetherplex, enter deepnight almost instantly. Thus, it boils down to a matter of convience not access. In terms of convience, if people aren't visiting then it is likely they don't feel deepnight is worth their time.

1. I don't care. I really don't. I said it's not the issue. I don't care about not being connected to Serenwilde, that's not the issue. Did I menion I don't care? I haven't been connected in years.
2. I don't care, blah blah. This isn't the issue, I -think- I mentioned before, that it wasn't the issue.
3. Right, now we're getting back on track. However, you've just summarized part of my problem. I think I posted what the problem was on the first post. You're right, if it's not convienient, they feel it's not worth their time. That's the point I'm bringing up. Now that we're able to say it back to me, does anyone have a solution?

In the ten years surrounding Glomdoring's awakening, only two manses were disconnected - Gwynevere's and Richter's. These were not done at the same time.
Ialie2006-02-16 08:57:24
I am sad my manse got disconnected from Glomdoring.

You need to basically advertise the fact that dispite you being cut off they are still able to enter from the aetherplex.
Just keep stressing this fact, you sell potions at cheaper than normal? advertise this as well id come to your shop if its the cheapist even if it was slightly out of my way, ie I had to enter a mansce exit then enter a mansce again, hell people could get an alias to do that in a second.
Dont worry to much about it richter everyone learns about your super mansce eventually and wants to see it at least once, a few seconds more travel means nothing to them.

Deepnight just needs to drastically undercut all other merchants to draw in customers. Go "Wal-Mart" on the competition, etc.
Suhnaye2006-02-16 09:34:47
First off... It sounds to me like Narsrim needs to stop enjoying agrivating people OOC. He's not even speaking to, or about me, and his whole tone/manner is agrivating me.
Second, onto your immediate problem of Deepnight... I see a simple solution that could, with some propper diplomacy come to get all four cities/communes to have their portals open to Deepnight. Step one: Leave Glomdoring and become a rogue merchant. Step two: Get everyone all happy with Deepnight. Step three: Start offering large gold bribes/deposites to have the portals connected, combined with a promise to all organizations that Deepnight would not be used in raiding, if it is those who use it to raide would be banned from access... In my experience, if all four societys had the same rules as the others, they would make sure their own members didn't use it, because they would want the other societys to follow the simple rule.
To me, that seems the simplest and most expedient way of solving that particular problem. Of course, it causes several others, including but not limited to the endless boredom associated with being a Rogue for a prolonged period of time... Umm... Thats about it acctually... With Deepnight, you wouldn't really be lacking in people/allies/trading partners...
Ah well, its an answer for ya at least.
Narsrim, grow up. For the good of all the world and earth, please grow up?

Suhnaye,
For what it matters (and truly, it doesn't but I digress), if you think offering bribes is going to work, you are sadly mistaken.

Richter, I was given the same directive by Celest, but was able to mitigate it by offering to block only the worst offenders who posed an immediate threat.
So instead of blocking all enemies of Celest (which would have cut off Seren as well), I was permitted to selectively block Athana, Kaervas, etc. Which worked out fine.
Maybe you can arrange something similar?

It seems more and more to me that Deepnight could easily be a great place for the neutral people to gather. Richter, perhaps you should speak with members of neutral Orders, specifically Lacostian's and Elcyrion's? See if you can organize debates, literary groups, intellectual discussions, et cetera in Deepnight?

Also remember that entering a manse from the Aetherplex is always only two steps away from an organizational portal room.
Entering from the aetherplex isn't too inconvenient... I don't think you'll lose too much business from that alone. You can always let people know how they can get there, just by using another manse.
Try having your manse + store disappear from the portals for hours at a time.

Lusternia is built on conflict,
(OOC) Do you think people would be buying credits like mad for artifacts/trans skills if it wasn't so they could protect their org. better and beat up the other side when they needed to?
(IC) Trade skills, would people really be demanding herbs/enchantments/alchemy/ect. if they didn't need to use it Vs. other people? (yes there would be some things still around because of the novelty of them, but in a Person Vs. Denizen only world there is a lot of stagnation)
Most of Lusternia's conflict is based on a few "We gain, you lose; You gain, we lose." scenario’s. (Various inter-org quests(Tainting Supernals & Purifying Demonlords/Faethorn/the sea battle/crow Vs. Hart, even though it's in 'off' mode right now, some others I'm sure I've forgotten), Villages, Sands of the Dreaming, Wild Nodes, and (coming soon, Aether battles to drain nexi!)
Because of this, if a majority of an nation is "against" another one, you'll be on hostile terms with all of them for the most part. (yes the player base makes some allowances for the newbies for the most part, but that only goes so far, eventually they 'grow-up' pick a side and become an enemy, officially, or unofficially because they don't take direct actions against you) Still those un-official enemies you don't want running about.
I doubt Magnagora would allow any from the Moonhart Circle free access to walk around their city 24/7, they might be afraid they would be there to do something, even if that person wasn't an official enemy.
Serenwilde has that 100 fold, there are so many things IN our territory quest wise that can really mess us up, plus we've got a history of near-xenophobia/isolation. I mean we're on friendly terms with Celest, and still quite a few in the Wilde have a Role Play of hating them(which is pushed further by certain few of those "we win, you lose senarios")
The point I'm trying to make is, no we can't all be cuddly happy snuggly with each other, and the only way a place like Deepnight would be 100% neutral would be if you went rogue and try to make up for wrong doings of the past (which some would never forgive anyway, and could be seen as a betrayal by Glomdoring/Magnagora, so that’d be pretty pointless)
Edit:Oi, I've been getting wordy lately , just ready the last paragraph for a brief synopsis of what I was trying to demonstrate in all of that.
