I won't post them without Ibby's approval though sad.gif If you want them, I can email them to you or something.

You have my approval. I don't have those logs.

Not sure if people will really want to read my rambling and also, the story is told from Ibaesha's perspective, so it is rather skewed. wink.gif

Well, yeah. The story from Xen's point of view is a bit skewed, too. happy.gif

At the very least, I'd skim it, just because the subject does interest me. At the time, I was a very new player in the Basin, and this whole event was what formed / made Xen.

QUOTE(Gnosis @ Feb 22 2006, 10:13 AM) 261315

The key difference between The Summer Court and the DoC was that it was not the intent of the Court to set themselves up as leaders. We may have had members who craved power but our primary focus was always restoring Gloriana.

*clears throat* If I may object, that was not the purpose of the DoC. I joined the DoC, simply put, because it seemed interesting. I was just off novicehood, and knew Visaeris to be powerful (well, it seemed that way at least). Although many of the crows got twisted into thinking "oh, we were here first, we should lead!" That was not the purpose of the crows.

PUBLIC NEWS #62

Subj: The Disciples of Crow

For many long, painful decades, Glomdoring has been a dying forest.
While the inhabitants survive, slowly she has been forgotten and so
casually discarded. Such a loss cannot be left unchallenged, for the
Knowledge that may be found within a tainted forest is great. It is time
for a new era to begin in the Forest without Mercy, a new step on the
path of discovery. I extend the offer to be a part of this to all
denizens of Lusternia.

The way will not be easy, nor quick. It is a path that will be traversed
over years. But those who have the patience to see it through shall be
rewarded. Once the Druids lived in Gloriana, but they were destroyed.
They will be reborn in Glomdoring. I seek not to create a commune, nor a
city. A civilisation would be the best way to describe it. We will not
be a land of equals, nor a land of stone walls. Integration with the
sweet Taint of the Earth shall be our most important belief.

To those of you who seek to escape the failures of the world, the
decadent societies of New Celest and Magnagora, the painfully
disorganised and impotent Serenwilde, I offer a warning. To pursue this
path is to pursue greatness beyond oneself, beyond the barriers of what
we know and believe. You must shed your past as a snake discards its
skin, allowing yourself to move onto a new beginning.

Should you wish to join, here are the requirements:
1) No guild may count you amongst its members
2) No city or commune may consider you a citizen.
3) You must possess a thirst for knowledge, and a great amount of
patience.

These are steep requirements, but they are necessary. Should you be
willing to make the sacrifice to move forward, contact me via a letter
or similar means.

F'ai, Glomdoring!
Visaeris Mae'loch

P.S. I discard all fueds, renounce all vengeances. I will not hunt those
who I have hunted, nor bear malice to those who have hunted me. Do not
assault myself and you will be left alone in turn.

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Shanthin, in the year 101 CE.

For nostalgic reasons, this includes more than just the story, like the Oaths of Ibaesha and Tsuki afterwards. This was in Roarkian, 123, less than a month after I became High Wisdom.

(Moondancers): Ibaesha says, "Who would like to hear a story?"
(Moondancers): Zenji says, "Oh me!"
(Moondancers): Eyod says, "Of course."
(Moondust): Aeire says, "Ooo, me, me, me!"
(Moondancers): Tsuki says, "Always, High Priestess."
(Moondancers): Elysiana says, "I would!"
(Moondancers): Taliesin says, "Me."

(Moondancers): Ibaesha says, "Flow to me, I will tell the story of the Summer
Court."

You gently rise into the air and dance along a moonbeam to Ibaesha.
A circular pool in the night garden.
The bright sun shines down, blanketing you with its life-giving warmth. An
obsidian eye sigil is here. A sigil in the shape of a small, rectangular
monolith is on the ground. A wiccan broom floats here, vibrating with energy.
Acolyte Zenji of the Ethereal Realm is here. He wields an athame dagger in his
left hand. High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella is here. She
wields a magic spatula in her left hand and an athame dagger in her right.
You see a single exit leading west.

Acolyte Zenji of the Ethereal Realm says, "Greetings High Priestess."
You bow respectfully to Ibaesha.
You sit yourself down.

(Moondancers): Ibaesha says, "Everyone please nap when you arrive."

((spam of people getting there, saying hello, going to sleep, and twitching in their sleep))

A shaft of silvery light falls across Ibaesha's face, who bows her head in
reverence.
Ibaesha welcomes you into her coven.
Ibaesha links hands with you and the other members of the coven, forming a
sacred circle.
You join Ibaesha in a ceremony to bless this location to Spirit Moon. Soft
silvery light suddenly sparkles through the air.

Stargazer Elysiana, of Vernal Moonlight relaxes a bit as the sun and moon
banish the night.

Ibaesha purses her lips pensively, gazing off into the distance as she
carefully gathers her thoughts.

Ibaesha links hands with you and the other members of the coven, forming a
sacred circle.

Tsuki tilts her head and listens intently to Ibaesha.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Almost a full coven."

Laneth nods his head sagely.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Alright..."

(( me designing something for the first time, not knowing it took you into the editor dry.gif ))

You finish your sketching.

Ibaesha looks about herself suspiciously.

Ibaesha taps her foot with mild impatience.

You cough softly.

Tsuki blinks.

Ibaesha's eyes sparkle with amusement.

Eyod Mes'ard, Moondust's Sage says, "Put him on a leash."

Tsuki grabs protectively at you.

"Eep!", you scream in fright.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "No editor business."

Tsuki begins to wield a wiccan broom in her right hand.

Eyod cowers in a corner, whimpering.

You say, "I didn't know that would take me there."

Elysiana grabs protectively at you.

"Shh!" says Sivriel, putting a finger to her lips.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Before I begin, I am
curious if everyone knows the history of the Glomdoring and its transformation
from the once beautiful Gloriana."

Tsuki gives a pained sigh.

You nod solemnly to Ibaesha.

Aeire shakes her head.

Eyod Mes'ard, Moondust's Sage says, "Only parts of it."

Ibaesha nods her head emphatically.

Silvery Sivriel Mes'ard, Misty Maiden says, "Tentacles, I heard."

Ibaesha shakes her head.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Well, so I will begin
there."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "The Glomdoring Forest
was once a beautiful forest called the Gloriana. Her great spirits were Mother
Night and Brother Raven. The Night Coven was a sister Coven to the Moon Coven
and our Great Spirits and theirs were unified."

Dungeon Master, Laneth, Elfen of the Ether shuffles over to Zenji and leans on
him, listening.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "You see, when Ellindel
healed the fae and brought them into physical form, they came to the Prime
plane and taught the ways of the forest to Glinshari, Ellindel's Hearthmate.
From that knowledge, the fae, along with Ellindel and Glinshari brought forth
the Three Great Trees. The Mother Moonhart Tree, The Great Ravenwood, and
Ackleberry's, however that is not named in the histories and is a mystery to
me."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "The Communes
flourished and the Covens were unified with each other, although each followed
their own course. It could be said that Rowena was more apt to have an open
mind than our own High Priestess, Farella."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "When Emperor Ladantine
brought the Cities together for Project Cosmic Hope, the High Priestesses gave
warning of the dangers. They attempted to get The Empire to heed the Great
Spirits, but they did not."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Now, then, Project
Cosmic Hope met with distaster, summoning forth the power of Kethuru which made
its way to the Stone of Truth, tainting it, and transforming it into what we
now know as the Megalith of Doom."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "The Taint did not stop
there though..."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "It spread from
Magnagora outwards, tainting everything it came in contact with, transforming,
killing, twisting,."

Tsuki shudders violently.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "With the Gloriana so
close, High Priestess Rowena knew they were in danger. She gathered a Coven and
attempted to raise a cone of power to Mother Night."

Continuing the hunt for his dark mate, Father Sun presses forward in his
journey, lowering himself in the sky yet still casting even, full light upon
the land.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "However, this was not
enough... The power of Kethuru swept through the Gloriana, overpowering the
High Priestess, the High Druid Brenna, and... twisting the Forest itself. If
that weren't bad enough, Mother Night was infused with this awesome power as
well, and... became tainted."

Sivriel gives a pained sigh.

Tsuki begins to weep uncontrollably.

Elysiana shudders violently.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "With her connection to
Mother Night, Rowena felt it all, the transformation, the sudden lust for
power."

Elysiana cringes pathetically.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And as well, the Great
Raven was twisted into he who we now call Crow."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Mother Night wanted
then to sweep throughout the Basin, consume all of the Great Spirits and rule
all of Nature..."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "She felt unstoppable."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And thus the once
beautiful Gloriana was tainted and became what we now know as the Glomdoring
forest."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "This is just a short
telling, I'd encourage you all to study the history of the Taint Wars."

Amaris nods her head emphatically.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Now then when we came
to the Modern Age..."

Zenji tilts his head and listens intently to Ibaesha.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Glomdoring was their,
Tainted, and inhabited by the undead forms of Rowena and Brennan."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella frowns and says, "And the
tainted Crow."

Tsuki gives a pained sigh.

Stargazer Elysiana, of Vernal Moonlight asks, "What...what of the other
members...?"

Aeire shivers violently.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Well, you see..."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Glomdoring did not
have a Commune."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "The Ravenwood was
destroyed by the power of Kethuru when Glomdoring was tainted."

Shadow Bane, Taliesin D'Lac says, "And i'm now beginning to understand it all."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Without a nexus,
people do not gather."

Stargazer Elysiana, of Vernal Moonlight says, "But Gloriana had more members,
didn't it?"

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "They were all killed
or twisted by the Taint and made undead."

Elysiana shivers violently.

Aeire, of Autumn Moonlight raises her hand to make it known she has a question.

Ibaesha tilts her head and listens intently to Aeire.

Aeire, of Autumn Moonlight says, "Does any of the taint have to do with that
uhm.. angry spirit that was shouting earlier this month about the Hartstone?"

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "That is a different
story. And one that Hartstone keeps close to its bosom."

Eyod Mes'ard, Moondust's Sage says, "Angry spirit>."

Aeire nods her head emphatically.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says to Eyod, "Grutina."

Comprehension flashes across Eyod's face.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "I am not sure of the
specifics of that. Hartstone is not inclined to share."

Aeire nods her head emphatically.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "At the beginning of
the Modern Age, some individuals started their work towards raising Glomdoring
to a Commune."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Some rogues, some from
Magnagora."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "They studied all they
could of Glomdoring, seeking out its secrets, and even how to resurrect He who
was once Raven."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "I will interject that
during these first years, Crow being alive was a great danger to the Serenwilde
and our Great Spirit, White Hart."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Now, those individuals
did not seek to heal the Glomdoring. They wished for it to rise in all its
Tainted... glory."

Ibaesha creases her brow in a frown.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "They became known as
the Disciples of Crow, then later The Night Coven."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "However, there was
another group who sought the knowledge of Glomdoring and its secrets."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "This group was from
Serenwilde, and primarily the Coven of the Moon."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "They kept this
research among themselves, seeking out whatever they could find. Their goal...
to cure the Gloriana and heal her from the taint."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "They were called the
Summer Court."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Among them were four
Wisdoms of the Moon. Individuals who had dedicated their lives to the
protection of the Fae and the path of Mother Moon."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Their desire was so
great, that it nearly became an obsession."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella frowns and says, "Or perhaps
in some cases it did."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "So while the Night
Coven made its attempts, the Summer Court silently worked towards an opposite
goal."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "They had nearly lost
hope, with little to go on, they didnt know where to turn next."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And then! The Lady
Viravain made it from the Void. The sweet Lady of Summer Song."

Zenji gives a pained sigh.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Such naivety, beauty,
and sweetness wrapped in the form of a Goddess."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And I will admit that
even I was enamoured by Her."

You give a pained sigh.

Amaris tells you, "I hope it's not too long!"

You say, "And I."

With a wistful look on her face, Tsuki touches a silver torc.

Laneth nods his head sagely.

Aeire creases her brow in a frown.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "With Her though, the
Summer Court felt a glimmer of hope. Surely She had answers how to help their
cause towards restoring the Gloriana."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "She met with Elryn and
I once at his behest."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "She told us then that
to restore the Gloriana would mean remaking it entirely."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And to do so, it would
take the entire 7th circle of Elder Gods."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And countless years."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "We felt at a loss
again, but the Summer Court did not give up."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "They kept talking to
Her, encouraging Her, pleading for Her help."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And She so loved the
Gloriana, She joined with the Summer Court to see their wish through."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "There were prophetic
warnings, and though the Summer Court attempted to heed, prophecy is
self-fulfilling."

Aeire, of Autumn Moonlight says, "What were the warnings?"

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "I warned them of their
path, however, I also had a great desire to see the Gloriana healed."

(( ibby looking for the warnings - I have them in another log, by the way, if anyone is interested ))

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Well, I cannot find it
now, however."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "The first was that
Lady Viravain must be protected from poisonous words."

Aeire, of Autumn Moonlight says, "Posionous words?"

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Or that their mission
would be doomed to fail."

Ibaesha nods her head at Aeire.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "At the time, the
Summer Court thought that meant the Tainted ones... the Night Coven."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Little did they know
that they needed to protect Her from the words of another Elder God."

Tsuki gives a pained sigh.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella frowns and says, "Other
prophecy warned that the children of light and dark would be decieved and in
trickery they would walk."

Stargazer Elysiana, of Vernal Moonlight mutters, "And w..ds are still a
po.....l we.... in the ...ds of th. Tainted."

Aeire whispers soothing words to Elysiana.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "I joined the Summer
Court to help them decipher these prophecies."
tell barrin I have been working non-stop for the past two months

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And during this time
Lady Viravain began to heal the Glomdoring, remaking one location at a time."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And with this, the
Summer Court was sure they would succeed... and so was Lady Viravain."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella frowns and says, "I was
worried... however, I did not try to stop them from their goal."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Then, one day Lady
Viravain wished all to meet at the Ravenwood for She would attempt to remake
another location... or so we thought."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "However, that day ...
that is not what happened."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "With many people from
all over the Basin present, She announced that not only would She remake the
entire Glomdoring, She would remake the Great Ravenwood as well. It seems, Lord
Raezon had given Her an answer."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And with that She drew
forth the Seal of Nature and began the ritual of remaking..."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Now, I don't know
about others, but as soon as I saw that, I was in terror."

"Oh?" Aeire exclaims quizzically.

Tears fill Sivriel's eyes and begin to slowly run down her face.

Aeire wraps a comforting arm around Sivriel.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "The Great Seals are
what protect us from the Soulless... from Kethuru."

Comprehension flashes across Aeire's face.

Tsuki strokes Sivriel's head in consolation.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Lady Lisaera attempted
to stop Her, even called for Estarra but..."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Lady Viravain was
intent on restoring the Gloriana. She could not control the power of the Seal
and it overwhelmed Her."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "The ritual was
completed...but not to the affect She desired."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Or any of us desired."

Laneth gives a pained sigh.

Zenji wraps a comforting arm around Laneth.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "The Great Seal of
Nature was destroyed and Kethuru was released and He..."

The silvery moonlight here fades away.
The sky lightens and stars fade as Father Sun approaches the horizon in his
neverending quest to capture Mother Night.

Aeire creases her brow in a frown.

Zenji blinks.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Well, he took over
Lady Viravain."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "She was no longer
Herself."

Aeire giggles happily at you.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "She ate the broken
pieces of the Seal and... a battle between Estarra and Kethuru began... most of
us died."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "As in nearly every
mortal in the Basin."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Not only this, but the
parts of Glomdoring which She had previously healed were tainted again."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "However, She did
manage one thing... to restore the Great Ravenwood."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Now, for the next
months afterwards all of the peoples of the Basin came together to fight the
threat of Kethuru. That is not what this story is about. I will say that they
and the Elder Gods managed to restore the Seal of Nature and bring safety back
to the Basin of Life."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Not too long
afterwards... Lady Viravain returned."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "She was changed ...
entirely. She shouted that the Summer Court must go to Her."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And we did..."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "At that moment it was
only myself and Gwynevere."

Tsuki gives a pained sigh.

You lean on Tsuki seeking consolation.

Tsuki leans on you seeking consolation.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Lady Viravain was
covered in spiders, completely changed...though hints of Her innocence showed
through..."

Aeire shudders violently.

Elysiana shudders violently.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "She demanded of us
that we stop following Mother Moon and follow Mother Night and lead Her army."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "I could see for myself
that She was clearly insane. In fact, She screamed at me when I told Her that
She had failed, that the Gloriana was not healed."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "She swore to me that
it was, to look around, to see the Great Ravenwood. She proclaimed She did
this!"

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "I told Her that I
would never follow Her among other things..."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "She threw me on top of
a mountain."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "She allowed Gwynevere
to stay a bit longer, as Gwynevere was not nearly as hostile as I. In all her
sweetness, Gwynevere thought she could help the Lady Viravain."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Now then, we warned
the Serenwilde of Lady Viravain's madness..."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And admonished Serens
to stay away from Her."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "But alas, the Summer
Court still felt they could help Her, or at least try to stop Her from a
harmful path."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And again I warned
them, but again I also allowed them their course."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "So Wisdoms Jasper,
Gwynevere, Lyth, and Cronnacht still went to Lady Viravain, trying to do what
they could."

Ibaesha creases her brow in a frown.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Now then, Lady Lisaera
warned of the danger and at one point I finally had to say that it was enough.
That there was no more that could be done, to come away from Lady Viravain
before something horrible happened again."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "The Summer Court was
so angered with me for this, the cast me away from them, felt I had betrayed
them. Although, at the time, I felt greatly betrayed myself."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And then among them
they talked, they brought Lady Viravain back among the Summer Court... they
told me they were just trying to help Her... that I didn't understand."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "I understood."

Ibaesha chuckles long and heartily.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "One by one, they were
overtaken with Her madness, renounced Mother Moon and began to follow Mother
Night. All of them except Cronnacht, who somehow managed to evade the insanity
that had set in."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And so three Wisdoms
of the Moon betrayed the Coven, our Great Spirits, the Serenwilde, and all they
had stood for their entire lives."

Aeire creases her brow in a frown.

You say, "Not in their eyes - and therein the true tragedy lies."

You say, "Gwynevere, at least, believed she was doing what was best for the
Coven and Commune."

You give a pained sigh.

Tsuki tilts her head back and looks up at the sky.

Moondust's Wisdom Tsuki Mes'ard says, "It's been over eight years now since
then, I realized recently ..."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And the Summer Court
became the Shadow Court and brought forth the awakening of the Night Coven and
the Commune of Glomdoring. Gwynevere became the first Queen of the Night and
Jasper still sits as the Prince of Shadows. The fae they once protected, they
would begin to enslave, abuse and treat as tools, not companions worthy of
respect."

Tsuki mutters discontentedly.

You grab protectively at yourself.

You peer about yourself unscrupulously.

You begin to sing an enchanting song, calling to your loyal fae.
A jagged line of sparkling motes ripples in the air, and out steps a pixie.
A jagged line of sparkling motes ripples in the air, and out steps a sprite.
A jagged line of sparkling motes ripples in the air, and out steps a wood
nymph.
A jagged line of sparkling motes ripples in the air, and out steps the mother.
A jagged line of sparkling motes ripples in the air, and out steps a banshee.
A jagged line of sparkling motes ripples in the air, and out steps the crone.

You grab protectively at a sprite.

Laneth flashes you a joyous smile.

Ibaesha tilts her head and listens intently to Tsuki.

Zenji gives a pained sigh.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says to Tsuki, "What did you
realize?"

Dungeon Master, Laneth, Elfen of the Ether wraps his arm around Zenji.

Acolyte Zenji of the Ethereal Realm turns his head to looks at laneth and
smiles weakly.

Moondust's Wisdom Tsuki Mes'ard says to Ibaesha, "How long it's been since
then, High Priestess ... but each time I'm reminded of the details, the grief
hasn't completely healed."

You whisper soothing words to Tsuki.

Tsuki attempts to take comfort in her rather dubious situation.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says to Elysiana, "This story
I have told for those of you that might need to know why it is that the Coven
of the Moon stands so strongly opposed to the Glomdoring, and especially the
Coven of the Night. I hope it has helped."

Elysiana nods her head emphatically.

Elysiana curtseys respectfully before Ibaesha.

Amaris's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.

Shadow Bane, Taliesin D'Lac says, "Hearing this today has opened mine eyes for
I should have seen the madness in Titania."

Laneth thanks Ibaesha profusely.

Amaris, of Vernal Moonlight says to Ibaesha, "Thank you for the telling."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "I will say that
despite the difficulties, and the heartache, the Coven of the Moon has grown
stronger."

Zenji looks exhausted and opens his mouth in an enormous yawn.

Acolyte Zenji of the Ethereal Realm says, "I really must attend to my
Meditations now, I've put them off for far to long already."

Aeire, of Autumn Moonlight says to Tsuki, "Betrayel is like that. Those who are
betrayed always have a bit of a scar there, that hurts and acts up. That can
act up when you accidently touch it and remember it.."

Zenji stands up and stretches his arms out wide.
Ibaesha's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.
Tsuki nods her head at Aeire.
Zenji kisses Laneth passionately.
Zenji bows respectfully to Ibaesha.
Shadow Bane, Taliesin D'Lac says, "Thank you High Mistress."
Zenji bows respectfully to you.

Silvery Sivriel Mes'ard, Misty Maiden says, "Torturing the Fae is reason
enough, but I thank you for your lesson and story."

Zenji leaves to the west.

Ibaesha flashes Sivriel a joyous smile.

Aeire, of Autumn Moonlight says, "To ibesha Thank you, I'm quite happy to have
heard about this, I was curious myself. You should have story time a lot!"

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "I have other stories."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella smiles and says, "But they
are long in the telling."

'Ack' Aeire says at herself.

You say, "The whole of the story of Lady Viravain is... much longer than that
tale."

Ibaesha nods her head at you.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella smiles and says, "I had to
skip some things."

Amaris, of Vernal Moonlight says, "Maybe some other time?"

Dungeon Master, Laneth, Elfen of the Ether says, "I experienced much, but it
was interesting to hear what went on within the Summer Court."

You smile with a wink and say to Ibaesha, "Such as Brennan's warnings of
Kethuru, which none understood until it was too late?"

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Oh other stories for
other times."

Ibaesha nods her head at you.

You give a pained sigh.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "That was contained
within the prophecies though."

You say to Ibaesha, "I figured it out.... a month after it was too late..."

Ibaesha winks knowingly.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "I knew."

You nod your head at Ibaesha, showing your acceptance.

Sivriel thanks Ibaesha profusely.

You say, "The words 'Laughing source' and 'the source of us, our yearning' -
they rung in my mind... I couldn't figure out where or why until..."

You give a pained sigh.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "I'll say that for
myself, I won't be so apt to ignore my own warnings and allow such in the
future."

You nod your head at Ibaesha.

Stargazer Elysiana, of Vernal Moonlight asks, "Does the Summer Conclave bear
any relation to the Summer Court?"

Aeire, of Autumn Moonlight says, "This also teaches us that it's good to listen
to intuition."

You shake your head.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "And also, this all
brought forth the change of the 12th Guiding Principle. What was once called
Freedom is now called Duty."

You say to Elysiana, "No more than the summer months do."

Ibaesha shakes her head at Elysiana.

Elysiana tilts her head curiously at Ibaesha.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "You see, the Moon of
Roarkian once taught that with Freedom comes Responsibility. I gave the Wisdoms
freedom, believing they'd be responsible. And I do not believe they weren't,
but despite their care and responsibility, their Freedom led to destruction.
And the Coven learned that with Duty comes Sacrifice and so the Guiding
Principle of Roarkian was changed."

Comprehension flashes across Elysiana's face.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Now many of you have
taken your Oaths."

Amaris's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.

Tsuki slumps down dejectedly.

Stargazer Elysiana, of Vernal Moonlight says, "I have taken the Oath."

Sivriel wraps a comforting arm around Tsuki.

Tsuki leans on you seeking consolation.

Amaris, of Vernal Moonlight says, "I have."

Moondust's Wisdom Tsuki Mes'ard very sadly says, "I've yet to speak the words
officially."

Sivriel grins mischievously at Tsuki.

Moondust's Wisdom Tsuki Mes'ard says, "Other matters always seem to come up and
demand attention first."

Tsuki sways back and forth.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "I have done this once
before, however, it is Roarkian and with new members of the Coven who do not
know me, I shall do it again before you all. It is the Oath of the High
Priestess."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Please stand with me
while I speak."

You stand up and stretch your arms out wide.
Amaris stands up and stretches her arms out wide.
Tsuki stands up and stretches her arms out wide.
Lhor stands up and stretches his arms out wide.
Elysiana stands up and stretches her arms out wide.
Sivriel stands up and stretches her arms out wide.

Ibaesha links hands with you and the other members of the coven, forming a
sacred circle.

Aeire stands up and stretches her arms out wide.

You join Ibaesha in a ceremony to bless this location to Spirit Moon. Soft
silvery light suddenly sparkles through the air.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "By the Moon of
Roarkian, I, Ibaesha Caelicus invoke the Principle of Responsibility. With Duty
comes Sacrifice, I shall put neither myself or another befor the Coven. By
accepting responsibility I agree to abide by the Twelve Moons."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Estar! I adjure thee.
Grant me Reverence."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Urlachmar! I adjure
thee. Grant me Courage."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Kiani! I adjure thee.
Grant me Vigilance."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Dioni! I adjure thee.
Grant me Compassion."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Vestian! I adjure
thee. Grant me Inspiration."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Avechary! I adjure
thee. Grant us Unity."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Dvarsh! I adjure thee.
Grant me Knowledge."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Tzarin! I adjure thee.
Grant me Flexibility."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Klangiary! I adjure
thee. Make me always ready."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Juliary! I adjure
thee. Instill in me Respect."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Shanthin! I adjure
thee. Grant me many Thoughts."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella bows her head lowly before
speaking the last.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "By Roarkian I make
this vow."

Sivriel sighs contentedly.

A soft shaft of moonlight beams down on Sivriel.

A soft shaft of moonlight beams down on Tsuki.

Ibaesha's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.

Shadow Bane, Taliesin D'Lac takes a knee infront of Ibaesha.

Shadow Bane, Taliesin D'Lac says, "I pledge to support you, to aide you, to
protect you."

(( LIAR! He joined Glom like, a year later sad.gif ))

Tatine inclines her head politely to those around her.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella says, "Thank you all for
hearing my Oath, I believe we shall move to the Mother Moonhart on Ethereal so
Wisdom Tsuki may take hers."

Silvery Sivriel Mes'ard, Misty Maiden says, "Thank you, High Priestess."

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella smiles and says, "After I've
had a nap, if you don't mind."

(( people leaving, people following people, finding out who is somewhere in the train, and following spam ))

Sivriel giggles happily.

Your mouth turns up as your face breaks into a smile.

With a wistful look on her face, Tsuki touches the Moonhart Mother Tree.

Tsuki nods her head at herself.

You say to Tsuki, "Dear one, please lay your hand upon the Moonhart Mother
Tree, the symbol of our bond with the Ethereal, and the gift of the Fae, and
speak the words of the Oath."

Moondust's Wisdom Tsuki Mes'ard lays her hands firmly against the Moonhart
Mother.

Moondust's Wisdom Tsuki Mes'ard says, "I pledge my heart to the Lunar Cry, And
Mother Moon, so valiantly high."

Tsuki tilts her head back and looks up at the sky.

Moondust's Wisdom Tsuki Mes'ard says, "I pledge my mind to the Silver Light,
That blesses me with the One true sight."

Moondust's Wisdom Tsuki Mes'ard bows her head and closes her eyes a moment.

Moondust's Wisdom Tsuki Mes'ard says, "I pledge my body to the Ethereal Fae, To
protect, love and follow their way."

Tsuki flashes a sprite a joyous smile.

Moondust's Wisdom Tsuki Mes'ard lifts her chin and stands tall, her voice
remaining clear.

Moondust's Wisdom Tsuki Mes'ard says, "I pledge my soul to the Guiding Spirit,
I shall defeat all opposition and not fear it."

Moondust's Wisdom Tsuki Mes'ard grasps the hilt of her athame and raises it
aloft.

You see Moondust's Wisdom Tsuki Mes'ard shout, "I pledge myself to the
Moondance Coven, Five times this pledge I have spoken!"

You say to Tsuki, "May the light of Mother Moon ever shine down upon your
Oath."

Sivriel beams broadly.

Ibaesha links hands with you and the other members of the coven, forming a
sacred circle.

Tsuki performs a graceful curtsey.

You join Ibaesha in a ceremony to bless this location to Spirit Moon. Soft
silvery light suddenly sparkles through the air.

Sivriel gives Tsuki a compassionate hug.
You flash Tsuki a joyous smile.
Tsuki beams broadly.
Ibaesha beams broadly at Tsuki.
You give Tsuki a compassionate hug.
Tatine beams broadly.

Acolyte Yrael, Ordos Primus shouts, "Oh, very good. Might I suggest making love
to a small animal, while you're there?"

Trooper Letum De'Unnero shouts, "You've been duped! You'd be better to pledge
yourself to munsia's big blue moon."

Acolyte Yrael, Ordos Primus shouts, "Er, throwing yourself off a cliff. How did
I get THAT mixed up?"

Tsuki's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.
Sivriel gives Elysiana a compassionate hug.
Aeire rolls her eyes.
Aeire grins mischievously at Tsuki.
Your eyes sparkle with amusement.
Elysiana giggles happily.
Moondust's Wisdom Tsuki Mes'ard smiles and says, "My thanks, Moondancers, for
hearing my oath."
You say, "It's nice to know the intelligence of our enemies is outmatched by a
squirrel."
Elysiana gives Sivriel a compassionate hug.
Ibaesha snickers at you.
You flash Tsuki a joyous smile.
Moondust's Wisdom Tsuki Mes'ard says, "Enemies? Did we hear something of
substance?"

You see Aeire, of Autumn Moonlight shout, "Good oath Tsuki! I pledge to you and
all the Moondancers the same! And everyone else can shoosh."

Tsuki nods her head in agreement.
Silvery Sivriel Mes'ard, Misty Maiden says, "Their own way of acknowledgment."
Elysiana nods her head at Sivriel.
The corners of Sivriel's mouth turn up as she grins mischievously.
Sivriel grabs Tsuki and twirls her about in utter glee.
Moondust's Wisdom Tsuki Mes'ard says, "I heard, perhaps, the croak of a frog
and the mutter of a bull ... nothing more."
Tsuki's eyes sparkle with amusement.

You smile and say, "We really do need to do this on the night of a full moon
sometime."

Stargazer Elysiana, of Vernal Moonlight says, "If the shouting of the last of
the Oath does not bring a response from them, we know they've fallen asleep."

Elysiana gives a trillingly melodic laugh.

"Oops!" Sivriel exclaims with a bashful expression.

Silvery Sivriel Mes'ard, Misty Maiden says, "There is one soon, by the way."

You say, "Has everyone here spoken their Oath?"

Aeire, of Autumn Moonlight says to Elysiana, "Which makes for a perfect time to
strike."

Elysiana grins mischievously at Aeire.

Stargazer Elysiana, of Vernal Moonlight says, "My thoughts exactly."

Aeire swings her arm up and high fives Elysiana enthusiastically.

Stargazer Elysiana, of Vernal Moonlight says, "Still, it does seem unreasonable
to slay them for merely attempting to insult us."

Shadow Bane, Taliesin D'Lac says, "Sticks and stones and all that."

Elysiana nods her head at Taliesin.

High Priestess Ibaesha Caelicus, Scion of Farella smiles and says, "I'd like to
see Yrael dead for many other reasons."

The corners of your mouth turn up as you grin mischievously.

Tainted Sage Revan Xandul, Dreamer of Mystery echoes, "I pledge nyself to
rbshhintthe! k0 times tave I dcanK thhis pllledge!"

Tainted Mistress of Shadows, Nymerya d'Erlette, the Benighted shouts, "HEarr

Tainted Mistress of Shadows, Nymerya d'Erlette, the Benighted shouts, "Pledgge

You see Shadow Bane, Taliesin D'Lac shout, "When you have a pledge that you can
say from your heart then lets hear it until then....."

Kidaen, the Empyrean Minstrel's voice reverberates, "If you are going to have a
conversation, don't you think it would be less tiring to find an inn somewhere
and discuss it over a pint or two?"

First Sergeant Jadryga La'Croix, Rruna Ksh'tant Alpha shouts, "Actually, Lord
Kidaen, they are in an inn."

Tainted Mistress of Shadows, Nymerya d'Erlette, the Benighted shouts, "We'me IN

If anyone wants me to post the prophecies mentioned above and such, I can go dig them up.
Diamondais2006-03-06 22:03:04
That made me cry, I wish I could have been there for that.. Ibaesha's a wonderful teller of the past. crying.gif
Ashteru2006-03-06 22:05:12
Makes me sorry that I joined Glomdoring...

...

Nah. But good story nontheless.
Xenthos2006-03-06 22:06:31
It actually wasn't as biased as I would have expected, and I liked the little addition on the end about how it affected the Moondancers. Nice story. happy.gif

Shorlen can you show the prophecys?
Richter2006-03-06 22:34:17

Shorlen can you show the prophecys?

(From Chuchip, ancestral spirit of the Serenwilde)

The strength of the boughs of Summer is greater than anyone knows,
but fears the timidity weaken the bark's song.
If courage can be found, life shall bloom whole in the despoiled lands,
and what was once lost will be found again, reborn.
But if cowardice stifles Summer's voice and dark words twist the branches of her heart,
hope dies in the despoiled lands as dusk swallows the dawn.
To see a new age of nature's glory,
let the rose grow strong and protect her from the poisoned words on the winds of corruption.

(I forget how these were given to us.... either to Marina in a dream, or to Gwynevere in a dream, or they were spoken through Marina's mouth when she was siezed with prophecy, like during the Dreamweaving event)

Three things be brought at once.
Given three and none.
Dusk shall speak to her soft touch,
and the forest shall provide that last of one.

She shall speak of autumn leaves, to the children of prophecy.
Golden Light shall bear His mind, to both Darkness and the Light.
And they will speak, "Arise, Arise!" And yet they shall know not.
For trickery they walk.

Darkness shall rise in streams of black,
and shadows shall begin to whisper back.
The Witch and Crone shall dance this night,
when light fails to fulfill prophecy's plight.

(From Brennan Stormcrow's ravings)

Flying trickster happy maker love laughing source close return

We yearn and dream and yearn and ancient bonds pull us yearning yearning the source of us our yearning.

Brennan Stormcrow exclaims, "Crow yearns!"
Brennan Stormcrow says, "Crow dreams of Raven."
'You've interfered too far!' (to the Summer Court)

Erion says to Brennan Stormcrow, "Summer King, do you yearn for the Summer Song?"
Brennan Stormcrow says, "No."
Brennan Stormcrow says, "We yearn."

Flying trickster happy maker love laughing source close return

This part is my favourite. Most people grouped it this way:

(Flying trickster) (happy maker) (love laughing) (source close) (return)

After thinking about it in hindsight, I decided that it was grouped this way:

(Flying) (trickster happy) (maker love) (laughing source) (close return)

Kethuru certainly was laughing at us tongue.gif

And Raezon, who was flirting with Viravain at the time, certainly did trick us and get what he wanted tongue.gif

EDIT: For those who weren't aware, Kethuru is the source of the Taint, and thus the source of Glomdoring and Crow, in a sense, and I personally believe that is what Brennan meant. Kethuru was calling out to Crow through the taint, seeking a return.

Just my biased point of view, of course tongue.gif
Unknown2006-03-06 23:50:41
Thanks for the logs.

I guess I wondered what was going on because (a) I saw a lot of Forum talk where the DoC were mad about the plot and (cool.gif I was wondering just why Serenwilders would have willingly joined Glomdoring. Visaeris quit the game, Guido actually Suicided a long-running character, Jack retired his character...people like the YuYu's stayed but then left because Viravain apparently got under their skin, and it seems only Richter is the DoC member left.

I was also wondering if people got Cynical about the game thanks to that. Long-timers like to reminisce about "everything being new" and "we thought we could make anything happen", and I was wondering if this event might have brought some cynicism. I have yet to see people trying to bring back Hallifax or Galdigulch or Ackleberry like that.

There was far more than one "Glomd side of the story." You had the Court, the Coven, the Crows, and the various assorted people who weren't of any who still made themselves known.

That, and as a number of people can attest, I'm not all that good of a storyteller. wink.gif
Hazar2006-03-07 00:05:21
True. But...something.

And take out the 'd'. That was a typo.
Richter2006-03-07 00:07:20
And if you ask, I'm probably the most distant member of Glomdoring. I spend hardly any time there, I don't know any of the new people, and I get in trouble with the no trading with enemies laws.

Glomdoring turned out -very- different than what we thought, with the introduction of Viravain.

I believe your grouping is correct but your interpretation is mistaken. Its just describing the relationship between Crow and Viravain. Remeber that Viravain made Crow and Glomdoring... So,,
flying trickster happy laughing = crow.
maker love source close return = Viravain.

I could tell you the story from Daganev's point of view but it wouldn't be very helpfull.
