It applied retroactively? I don't see any magic extra lessons.

When you bind new credits, you'll get the lessons. Even if you already got the 2.4 extra lessons from your first credit purchase. That's close enough.

This is great! I was thinking of buying credits just so my character wouldn't get deleted and this makes it even better. Thanks!

I'm not sure who I should offer to perform lewd sexual acts upon, Estarra or Sarapis.
I'll just send off for some creds, I guess. Meh.
And thus we figure out why the gods keep their secret identities, secret.
Go! Go! Super Lisaera!!

The pessimist in me says: Argh! I just converted 100 credits a few days ago! That's 250 lessons I lost!
The optimist in me says: Oooh! I just converted another 100 credits! That's 250 lessons I gained!
The optimist in me then proceeds to beat up the pessimist, a result of his wonderful mood.
Moral of the story: beware optimists who carry big sticks.

Saved from long ago to trans aethercommander (originally saved to trans planar, but then I changed my mind)

This isn't retroactive that I can see. Those other 3000+ credits I've bought I'm not seeing magical extra lessons for the first 1000 of them. I just bound 200 credits I got lessons JUST for those. Makes me sad, but not really. I know I'll get more so I'm looking forward to that.
What really makes me happy is that should I ever decide to give up cooking I'm not stuck with a worthless Spatula artifact or artifact credits I don't know what to spend them on should I trade it in.
Asarnil2006-02-25 14:23:42
I for one don't like this as much. Instead of the 100 neocredits, you now have to buy 50 credits for the same effect (which for those too lazy to count is currently 200k).
Shiri2006-02-25 14:27:36
So you don't get bound credits at level up anymore?

Umm, you completely misunderstand. You still get neocredits, but they can't called that anymore. So, when you hit level 10, instead of getting five "neocredits," you get five "bound credits." There's only one difference between Neocredits and Bound Credits - bound credits can be used to buy artifacts
This is an upgrade, and not at all a nerf.
EDIT: Read HELP LEVEL for clarity.

The retroactiveish part isn't technically "retroactive" at all, but it referes to the fact that some people can double up, everyone gets the 1000credits giving an extra 2.5 lessons, -even- those people who already took advantage of bonus lessons way-back when.
This is just rewarding everyone, and not just some people.
I really can't find anything to complain about this change, looks good all around.
