Sniffle. I remember when above.net was synomynous(sp?) with quality and clueful hosting. Then they got big. Sniffle.

From Matt(Sarapis): It's a problem at our co-lo facility or nearby it appears. We're on it, don't worry.

how old are you?
Serrin2005-12-19 00:43:42
Well, I guess it's some time for me to work on my System and then I can test the bugs that will inevitably be in there when lusternia comes back to life.

I'm highly amused at the differences in the quality and maturity of the player base here vs that of Achaea. The people on the Achaea boards are whining and complaining where as here...none of that.

It's because most of us are more understanding of complications and such. As the Achaea playbase is use to everything going their way and the world revolving around them. So when it breaks they cry and whine until it's fixed. They are like the 3 year old and were the adults

Yeah. =(
That's what the downtime scheduled for tomorrow is about. We're tired of above.net screwing up (as opposed to our ISP, which leases space from above.net) and being unavailable. At the new facility our ISP is putting us in, there are options to have other than just above.net connectivity, so there's a failover solution when one goes down.
We don't know what this downtime is about yet, except that our ISP also appears to be out (can't get to their site), but we are most definitely on it!

We've become immune to the small inconveniences from all the larger ones we are faced with in game, such as holding a demesne, the turtle/seawolf quest, the Supernal/Demon Lord killings, etc.

Aha! Ok, so you're not hosted directly by above.net, but by another group leasing rackspace. Cool. I'm surprised above.net are even talking to you guys if you're not a direct client.
Maybe its time you guys bought a couple of Cisco routers and started your own little multihomed hosting ISP..
