My favorite people...
Everyone in the House d'Murani clan. Especially my secret lover.
Veonira, Linaeve, Sadye, Vathael, Shikha, Celina, and the rest of you. You are the reason I keep playing this game. <3
Amarysse, Moriana, and Xinemus. The best Glommies ever. You make RPing a pompous brat even more fun than it should be.
All of those random jewelers, alchemists, herbalists, etc. that I encounter on an almost daily basis. The ones that have a way with puns and who will sit there and talk to me for twenty minutes after we concluded our business, they are so my favorite people.

Most of the people from Glomdoring that I've met are automatically put on my list of favorite people, though that might just be because I'm unnaturally happy for my commune
Specifically, though, I have people like Skyle, Leiliadhe, Ashai, Xinemus, Druken, Daem, Synl, Xenthos, and Shayle there, for being awesome...and intimidating.
EDIT: And I forgot Marina and Moriana!

I would have to 100% agree with this statement.

My list:
Xoxo: For being my teacher (even though he was much younger) and teaching me how to strike fear into the hearts of my enemies. I shall forever practice what I learned from teh Xoxo. Beware my wrath!

Creslin - Great guildmaster and confidant. He needs to be around more often .
Forren - Doesn't take bullcrap. Very admiring.
Malicia - She puts up with Aison so well.
Talkan - For teaching me combat even though I am a hopeless case.
Neraka - Being the most pompous ass in Celest and completely rocking.
Raflein - For taking the time to cut me 300+ gems, at a very little cost.
Faragan - For being such an awesome IC father, doing anything/everything for Aison, and for making Lusternia that much more fun to play. Also, for teaching me about shopkeeping .
Linaeve - For your roleplay of the undead scent (and for your bardic entries, which are always fun to read).
Fionn - You are just a paragon to admire. And a wonderful chef.
Also, to anyone in Celest who takes RP seriously (such as Geb, Strryx, and a few others).
And serious props to Mags for their drive to learn combat and fight properly -- though I'd prefer raids when people are actually around to fight back. Non-newbs. And also props to any people that play Mag characters who understand that I, as a person, don't hate you for playing a Mag character, and if I am "mean" to you, it's because I'm roleplaying my part.

My Favorite Currently Active Blacktalon
=========================
Yeralih: Conceivably Lusternia's best RPer. Definitely in the top of the top tier. A creative character who isn't always pleasant, but always memorable. Iconic Blacktalon in a similar way that Shayle is/was the iconic Shadowdancer. OOCly, may be the smartest person I know.
Xavius: Yes, we go at each other from time to time, but Xavius is one of those rare people who, when the smoke clears, will actually think about what you said to see if there's anything to it. Also one of the last vestiges of Old Skool Glomdoring.
Veyda: Always up for creating a good story. Volatile, but in interesting ways. His interactions with Yeralih have never failed to amuse me.
Kundu: Not the flashiest Blacktalon out there, but one of the more consistent in his efforts. His patient efforts are a large part of why I stayed in the Blacktalon during the initial dry spell.
Tajalli: Creative, energetic, intriguing character with excellent RP. Some of her finer personality traits seem unintentional, which makes them even nicer.
There are also some of the more recent class of Blacktalon that I enjoy interacting with, but these stand out in terms of a long-term, great experience in Xin's life.
(Celina, you'll end up on the d'Murani list)

Aw, Denust doesn't get mention? Must work harder... (rawr)
And Isluna's stepping down from Magister position! What is wrong with the Aquas?! Our leaders keep tending to disappear... mysteriously... Hm. *eye Forren*
Fionn: For being a great GM, managing 3 stores simultaneously, being one of Celest's best chefs (if not the best). I'm sad he has to step down, but I hope he sticks around as a sec... we need to keep our good officers!

My favorite people continued.
Daem - My most active and consistently entertaining sibling. If the d'Illici family is a circus - well, since it's a circus - he's the clown with the sad face who looks at all of us deadpan.
Arkzrael - Really, really random, but in an endearing way.
Aiakon - Apparently long gone, but I think I still have a shrine to him in my closet.
Nokraenom - See above.
Tervic & Druken - Both very cool in somewhat different ways, but get a special paired shout-out because we're all lighting guys. Rock on with your well-lit selves.
Forren - Has taught me what little I know of coding. And's just generally cool.
Jack - For amusing me. A lot. Now start playing Eilar more.
God, doing this is just good for cheering me up.

My Favorite Currently Active Gloms
=======================
NOTE: There are -many- Gloms that I enjoy interacting with. This list represents favorite people who are a regular/semi-regular part of Xin's experience. Also, for the sake of sanity, I won't repeat people who were on the other list.
Moriana - Perhaps my longest-running online friendship, Mori is wonderful both IC and OOC. Archetypal Shadowdancer (which Glomdoring always needs) with her own twists and flavor to it, excellent RPer in both serious and whimsical situations, smart, witty, and a seemingly endless font of patience (which probably goes without saying given that first thing I said). I could really write for a while about Mori without running out of positive adjectives.
Amarysse - Things You Will Never Hear Said in Lusternia #37: "I spent some time playing with Amarysse. Man, that sure sucked." Brilliant RPer who has a fascinating character who just seems to sparkle, for lack of a better word. Amarysse embodies a number of fascinating characteristics that are neither stereotypical nor unrealistic, all undergirded with a lot of depth and creativity, and one of the few characters that makes you wish you knew someone like her IRL. Speaking of, Amarysse has been a great friend OOC, as well.
Anae - Graceful, smart, and witty both IC and OOC. Makes a great Queen of Night without being an exact replica of Shayle. Always up for good RP and is one of those players you can sort of "hand off" your RP to and know that she'll run with it to great effect. I can't count the number of discussions about Xin's marital prospects that have involved Old Enough to Adopt Anae as a factor.
Druken - Creative, motivated, hard-working individual who loves teh arpee. An asset to any organization he's a part of, including Vira's Order. The ideas he's spun out in the course of being in the Order have been monumental.
Nadjia - Virtually all my interaction with Nadjia has been within the context of things that need to be done in the Order, but she is amazing in that respect. Full of helpful ideas, advice, and direction, and completely willing to do the work to implement them. If I had to pick someone to succeed Xin as OH, today, I'd pick her.
Daedalion - Never fails to drop me a note of encouragement when I write or do something for the Order or the commune. If you're a leader of anything, then you know how much it means for someone to take even a little bit of time to let you know that they like what you're doing.
Dylara - Out of all the players I know, Dylara is the one who always impresses me with how much thought and creativity she has put into her character's identity and personality as well as where she wants to take it. Interacting with her as an enemy was so much fun, and interacting with her as an ally has been just as fulfilling as I'd hoped. Another one of those people who is really open to telling a good story, first and foremost, and stands out in my mind as an example of someone who has been willing to allow detrimental things to happen to her character for the sake of a good story arc.
Xenthos - We don't always agree on everything, but we agree on most things and often have the same concerns/values with regard to them. Often the level-headed eye in the center of the many storms of volatility that blow through Glomdoring. Xin respects many characters in Glomdoring, but it is possible that he respects Xenthos the most.
Kaervas - It's rare to find someone who is a terrific fighter who also cares a lot about RP. What you've done with in the Harbingers is something not a lot of other people could have done.
Shayle, if you go active again, you could be on this list, too! How's that for motivation?

Sorry for the double post, but I had this nagging feeling I was forgetting somebody, and it was Arel.
Arel - Loves RP, has told some great little vignettes with me, and is just cynical enough to be objective. A good friend in game and out. He also called nearly everyone on the forums a "douchebag," once, much to my amusement and delight.

He's too girly for real insults.

He'd change if you didn't like him that way.
Ashteru2007-12-06 20:59:50
Oh yeah. I think most people don't care who my favorite people are...but I don't care what most people have to say, so here they are:
Arel - Hands down, my best mate in Lusty and all of the net. If he lived anywhere closer than half the world away, he would be my best mate in RL too, and we'd constantly hang out together. Alas! But I have to go on! He's like, the main force behind Elo's order, and everytime I chat with him, he can bring me to go into funny-mode, no matter how bad a mood I had before. Without him, I'd have been through four or five different relations already again, and thanks to him, I am celebrating my 8-month-monthlyversity with my girlfriend tomorrow. Sadly, I have little time lately, and so does he. That will change over the winter-holidays, I hope! Muha. We need to get Arel and Ash to ride out together again, mate. It will be glorious. :>
Skype peoplez - Sarra, Soj, Zia, Eve and the others (man, we became big), you know I <3 you. (I could say more, but I am not one for big words!)
Kromsh - Dude, I don't need to say that you are one of my favorite people, we used to talk like daily, and you are still the only reason I turn on MSN messenger whenever I have time.
Elo, & all the Hearth people - Guys, I'd totally talk about you too. But I am not in your lists, so off! (Nah, a joke. I'll have to be cramming in a few seconds again, so I'll write those later)
EDIT: Lulz. I sound like a girl. Worse. I sound like Hazar when he's emoing again! (Just positive instead of his negative)
EDIT2: Oi. I forgot a few more people. I'll add them later. Don't feel sad, Ildy!

My Favorite Currently Active d'Murani
=========================
Veonira - Every org that Veonira is a part of needs to realize that they've got something really good going for them. She works hard, has lots of ideas, is a great RPer, and is dedicated to the things she sets her mind to. The fact that she tends to be very level-headed probably gives her a share of headaches when things in the d'Murani get volatile, but what she's done with the family is impressive by any way of accounting the success of such things.
Linaeve - I could write and write about all the things I enjoy about Lin for a long time without running out of things to say. Rather than make a rather redundant list about intelligence, wit, RP ability, etc., I'll just say that she is an extremely high-quality person both in-game and out, and a major reason I enjoy the d'Murani so much, if not -the- major reason.
Ranadae - One of my earliest encounters (along with Lin) of other d'Murani besides Veo and Kaervas, and after that encounter, I knew I had made a very good move. Plays the young, aristocratic, eccentric son to a T. Always enjoyable.
Celina - Maybe it's the shrapnel lodged in my brain that they've never been able to remove, but the things that seem to infuriate people about Celina, I tend to find hilarious. Aside from that, I always look forward to her interactions with Xin, because I know the conversation will be good, as well as the RP.
Kanaya - Still in the process of finding her way in the d'Murani, I think, but she puts a lot of effort into it and, with me, anyway, has always been encouraging.
But, really, there's a sense in which pointing out the great players in the d'Murani is like pointing out the people who are driving too fast at the Indy 500. Ever since running across Aiakon, the d'Murani have been the only family I would have considered joining, and even though the group has their flaws and has their moments, just like any other group, I have never failed to be impressed with the overall, consistent quality of the RP that everyone contributes.
