Its annoying when Seren or Glom do the Gorgog quest. Cities will do it when a Supernal has been Tainted or a Demon Lord/Lady purrified

I know, I'm not saying this out of sympathy for the seren , but as a generlisation of how if the quests were to doable, they would be an onslaught of players doing it to each of the orgs ( except possible Glomdoring zap.gif ).

-Giving flies to the spiders, to make them follow you, to help you flush out the grasshoppers, which make a terrible noise, which cause the weevils to dissappear for a time

No no no no no, ask your self who actually bashes weevil?

Novices, why add in quests that will do nothing but hurt novies, I mean the gorgog quest is bad enough as it is, it seems practically designed to screw over novices and give the higher up levels some more bashing. I really don't want any more ways to hurt novies or lowbies in the game one is to many enough.

Personally, I'm ALL for being able to damage nations more, communes and cities both. On the other hand, I think we neeed to stick to the idea that the damage is NOT done In Nation. It's the home towns where the novices hang out and seeing a raid going on with people dying just as they first enter is NOT going to encourage them. It also puts a VERY heavy pain on the raider since the majority of the guards and defenses are located there (or should be) along with every single person easily able to conglut and attack over and over. Blah.

As I see it, if you want people like Narsrim to stop going into Glomdoring to raid so much then you need to give him a way to hurt Glomdoring directly without going inside. When Serenwilde wants to hurt Magnagora or Celest (I know, I know.. just work with me here) you can head to Nil or Earth to do some damage. Still, that's a very limited way to go. From how I hear of it, it's VERY difficult to take down a Half-formed now, which is the only way to truly.. truly attack a city. Meanwhile, there's NO WAY to attack a commune.

Give an affective means of doing so for all nations, and you eliminate a MAJOR reason why both this post and the 'griefing' post occurs. Why attack the players that conglut back or risk yourself on guards when you can better kill a nation another way?

Heh, it even helps with Nars' issue with Glomdoring, since then he can prove it's an unworthy nation by reducing it to nothingness. pureevil.gif

The weevils was just an idea I threw out, as a list of possible types of things it could affect. It wasn't nessecarily a suggestion to do just that, it was to show that there are more things that could be coded than just run in and kill.

Instead of trying to counter every idea post made with a reason why it won't work, how about you refrain from posting, or perhaps make your own idea. The reason people want some kind of an alternative to just kill kill raiding is because of you. Some people in the game believe you're enough of an issue that it affects their gameplay experience. Thus, if you have nothing nice to say, click the little red X in the top right corner of your window.

It's just more opportunity for griefing. Leave it as it is.

I wish there were more ways to hurt each nation, since that keeps things in motion and the world constantly revolving in Lusti. Stuff like Sea of Despair/Inner Sea battles are pretty fun, but we need more for city/commune vrs city/commune. Killing demons/fae/angels reduces power for a nation, but thats really only it. There will almost never be hardcore raids in the heart of a nation due to guards, statues and totems. Personally, I think totems and statues should be completely removed. Would make for more conflict in cities and guards dying.

But I think it would remove that feeling of safety one has in their home. I don't want to have to constantly watch my back while playing, relaxing every once in a while is nice. Having guards and a totem at the Ravenwood makes me feel like I can sit and have a conversation there. But, you're right about needing more city/commune stuff, besides killing the stronger org denizens.
