Robes are most often loose, outer garments worn over other clothing. There are exceptions, but not enough to justify the analogy you just made.

No. They are "armour."

Erm, isn't it because they are enchanted?

That's fine, but why can't I wear actual armour underneath the cloth?

Remember that those robes have zero inherent protection of themselves. It's only magic that offers any defence against weaponry. So really, the flimsy leather is just for show. tongue.gif

And if people really find leather that uncomfortable and foul, I don't know what they are doing making robes out of it for fun.

Because the magical field wouldn't enjoy being jostled about with armour? Because it would further limit your ability to move freely? Because it unbalances the game? I know Splendour robes would slowly strangle any owner who tried to wear them over armour (Those things have a life of their own!). Besides, what you mean, endure the rigours of nature? We're druids. Nature = us. We don't need to endure anything.

Serenwilde standard mending price is 3,000 gold for greatrobes. The rationale is that since they can be mended indefinately, and greatrobes are our ONLY source of income really, if we didn't charge that much for mending, we'd never make any profit. Don't like it? Don't get stuff mended by us. But you know what? We like making money, unlike some people who perfer doing everything for free, then quit their trade because they can't afford it anymore, or because they made the trade completely worthless.

That's insane! I need to start undercutting you on that laugh.gif

Too late, I already do that.wink.gif
