Actually a large amount of what is discussed inside those clans is about what the hell we'll do with the Hallifaxians or Gaudiguchians when the cities come out. Everyone seems to be taking that into account. And considering you don't know most of them, I don't think your opinion matters; I've talked to all members and known them for quite a while, and they are, mostly, competent people with great roleplay who would make better leaders for the new cities than, say, some random person who never roleplayed caring for Hallifax but decided to switch suddenly when it came out (Cough, Glom's early leaders, cough).

Those that general add to the role play along, without any cool stuff.
I enjoy RPing and enjoy plots that encourage that. Also, I wouldn't mind bringing the basin together in the plot as well. It just wouldn't involve everyone becoming temporary friends and working toward a common goal. There may be a common goal, but there will be much back stabbing, deceit and such involved.

Glom's early leaders? I hope you aren't talking about the Summer Court people. *eye*

Glom's start was weird because, to everyone who wasn't directly involved, it looked like a lot of random people got chosen by Viravain. Some were turncoat Serenwilders which until then had no interest in Glom, some were Summer Court people, and Richter was a crow.
That been said, the Crows (besides Richter) were punks, and nobody wanted them in charge. My point is that the Tirita and the Barosi people aren't punks.

It's like making a clan about Estelbar and then asking Yojimbo to step down.
