I think it would be neato if mobs had resistances and weaknesses like players do.

For example, astral urns zap you with electricity and would have an electricity resistance, but a weakness to blunt attacks because they are flying pot... obesefessors breathe fire, but likewise would be weak to cold attacks... and so on and so forth.

Not if you balance things neatly so all types of damage are represented.

This is a cornerstone of PvE combat in just about every graphical MMORPG. However, IRE games were never supposed to have intense PvE combat - the focus has always been on the PvP.

There are already too few bashing areas. Until there are more, why would you want to limit hunting even more?

Come on now, think of it - everything on Astral having magic resistance because of where they live. I love it! Bring this idea on!

There is no reason a lobstrosity would be more resistance to magic than steel. Anyhoo, it would take some tweaking, but I think it'd be cool.

Theres no reason why a furrikin would be more resistant to magic either - i mean seriously they are giant ferrets for crying out loud - but they are.

I'll have you know that Tomtom is a turtle furrikin with a shell and he is no ferret.

What about giant ferrets DOESN'T just scream "I'm practically immune to moonburst!"?
