That was my point. You don't want to be without a helm, but it's not a huge deal if it's not superb. However, Ixion is apparently a perfectionist, and is annoyed that his awesome stuff is going to be replaced with normal stuff unless he spends a week forging. I can understand his point, but I've overcome that same thing on my end by not caring. Some people can't do that.

So mainly, if we wanted to do what Ixion does to get the best stats on a greatrobe we'd need to pay a tailor/enchanter something like 4,000,000 gold to keep creating/enchanting robes till we got what we wanting. Much less time, much, much, more.. oh wait, everyone but richter would be broke before they could do that doh.gif It's just not a viable tactic.

We so need to be able to unravel all-cloth tailoring designs and reweave them.
