19 hits, and there is no other attack we can do against dreamweavers, and no way to hinder them or keep them from just leaving when they feel like it. Is this the way it's intended to be?


EDIT: It was actually 24 hits - I missed the first five in that log.

Remember, dreamweavers can neither heal nor cure themselves (besides sap and channel). That has to always be a consideration when you suggest hinderances. It shouldn't take someone with Healing for a Dreamweaver to be able to do anything.

And I still find it silly that people are trying to get rid of people, then complain when they simply leave without actually dying. They left, you won. Yeah, you didn't pwn them and truly stop them from doing what they wanted, but it's better than them sticking around.

That said, this does seem out of whack and in need of tweaking. Just please don't nerf Furrikin, we don't have all that much going for us besides being cool and not actually being bad at anything. We're mediocre in almost all circumstances compared to other races available (*coughmugwumpcough*).

The thing is, he left after sitting there afflicting us and attacking and ignoring the attacks on him for about two minutes. Two minutes of constantly being hit without him being able to heal just seems wrong.

Dunno, it just seems like offensive dreamweaving, when not in a group, has zero chance to kill someone, but a very good ability to annoy the heck out of them without them being able to do anything meaningful to chase the dreamweaver away.

Its a stalemate with one of the tankyiest dreamweavers in the game.

What sort of things could improve the situation, other than changing the damage of violet?

Increasing the damage to you could easily stop urazial would pretty much screw over all other dreamweavers, changing the damage type would mean that your problem would move over to a different race unless you made it unblockable, but as you said it was a stalemate with one of the best dreamweavers in the game sure its annoying but you delt with it.

Could this be making it harder?And couldn't you get your own dreamweavers? (I honestly don't know, so I figure I'd throw it out as a possible option) And where was his body? I know you can enter things while dreamweaving (incase he was on ethereal glomdoring) so maybe a dreamweaver on your side could've run over to where he was sleeping and started

And the simple 'solutions' if this is seems as a problem are: make racial resistances not carry over to dreamform, since you're not in your body and thus do not have what makes you resistant to the damage, and to make the damagetype unblockable damage.

The other thing that -could- be done is to stop regenerations of your body affecting your dreamform health. Since there is already a base dreamform regeneration (just over a hundred or so a tick, if I remember correctly), with level 2 or 3 health regen I could regain 50% of my max health in around 10-15 seconds.

But as people have said furrikin are poor as a warrior class and just about average as a caster class, dream weaving is the only area they excell in and even then it was the tankiest dream weaver in the game nejii made him run before he could do any damage to you, sure its annoying but you did deal with it fine.

No he didn't, Urazial did plenty of damage.

I agree its silly to expect to always be able to kill a dreamweaver, but Shorlen has a good point in that it took 19 violets to drive him off.

Just to clarify, Dreamweavers -can- heal themselves. Whatever attack it is that saps health, also restores health to the Dreamweaver.

When Munsia was a furrikin Dreamweaver, I tested with her at one point. While healing herself with that attack, I could stack -no- damage with a 18 int violet at level 3 equilibrium.

As for the fix, I have a damn good one. Magic resistance needs re-evaluated because its stupid. When it doubt, magic resistance is handed out to nearly every class and a plethora of races.

A 22 int Moonburst does -123- damage to Nejii (furrikin moondancer). A 22 int Moonburst, does like -300- damage to the average Krokani Paladin fully deffed with trans magic. A 22 int moonburst does -450- damage to the average lucidian Celestine.

Everyone can get a magic proof on robes, Magic skillset (which by the way is supposed to increase magic damage, and mine increased with trans magic by an absolutely insignificant amount). That's like a base 25% reduction for EVERYONE. If you have a level 3 magic penalty, right there is it reduced to just a 0.5 penalty.

Magic resistance needs totally revamped.

A furrikin/krokani/etc paladin can get 85% reduction to magic damage. There is no other damage type that can be resisted like this. Even full plate with putrefaction would be a close call.

So imagine if I have a 22 in moonburst (which is huge, it requires a knowledge blessing, +3 int from dolphin, drawdown, and a truefavor), I'd deal like 1500 damage with no defs. With defs, I'm dealing 225 damage.
