In case anyone missed it, there is NO downside to the new credit system, none whatsoever.

Actually there is. You can't buy credits on alts, then transfer the credits to your main and have the newb lessons for your alt to play with. But that didn't feel right to me anyways, but it'd be a downside to some.
Richter2006-03-07 21:45:31
All that would do is get me tons of characters I never use with way too many lessons on them. smile.gif

I thought that was a shrubable offence...
Drathys2006-03-07 22:04:05
Nope, you were allowed to use an alt to buy credits for the lesson bonus, then transfer them. You are free to use OOC bought credits as you see fit.

Sure you could.

15.3.1 SECOND CHARACTERS

Second characters (and beyond) in Lusternia are allowed, but a higher
standard for roleplaying will generally be imposed upon those who play
multiple characters. Furthermore, using one for the purpose of helping the
other is not allowed.

There is no limit to the number of characters you may create and play in
Lusternia as long as you observe these two rules:

1) only one character at a time in the realms (see HELP MULTIPLAYING)
2) no character may ever help any other character in ANY WAY.

Example: this means that you can't create a character, gather a bit of gold
and/or equipment, then drop it all, leave the realms, and bring in another
character to pick up the loot.

The usual punishment for this is quite severe - loss of one or both characters
through permanent shrubbing or erasure being quite common.

..?

OOC credits (from bardics and purchase of the website) can be traded between characters. Because you as a player earned them, not the character.
Richter2006-03-07 22:15:16
Any ooc credits are freely transferrable between characters, be it purchased, won in the poster contest, won in a bardic or something else. Credits purchased over the credit market are non transferrable to an alt (they can check if they really wanted), and nothing purchased -with- any credits is transferrable.

Which bound credits have pretty much further solved, it's an all-around wonderful change in the system.
Shamarah2006-03-08 00:12:06
Estarra outright confirmed that that was allowed at one point.
Richter2006-03-08 00:13:56
It'd suck if it wasn't possible, what if you wanted to divide purchased credits among your alts?
Saran2006-03-08 01:27:20
So... anyone know if i could bind the 900 credits for the pet? and I really would like more comments on Malach before I submit
Vix2006-03-08 01:34:45
It's going to be a huge cub right? Wouldn't be that great to sit on a little liger and squish it.
Saran2006-03-08 01:36:51
naw, I don't really care if it's mountable, but i save credits by getting it as such.

Also fully grown ligers are already huge and Sarans a cute lil faeling tongue.gif

EDIT: wonder if it's possible to negotiate maybe more reactions or something else in exchange...

That's a fully grown liger, they are bigger than tigers and lions.

EDIT: And Yay! the pets file has been updated... by someone with capslock on tongue.gif
Shiri2006-03-08 02:42:22
Woah, that thing is much more kickass than that sheepling earlier.

As a general bit of advice, you should always wait to bind your credits until just before you use them. But pets are paid for just like artifacts and need to be purchased with bound credits.

Bardic are considered OOC credits? I thought bardic pieces, for all intents and purposes, were considered compositions of the character and were entirely IC...would make sense if the credits won from bardic were also considered IC
