Find someone who will act as your proxy... someone who isn't enemied to Magnagora and get them to negociate with me.

How overpriced are these powerstones? The most I think I've gotten from a single one is 3k though some of my best sale were 6 runes for 6k and a vial of Charybdon for 5k.
I was damn grateful for that charybdon, too.

Seriously, I don't understand how enchanters can make money when the jewelers price so high.
You sell a powerstone for... 3,500-10,000???
I get enchants at 20-30 gold a charge.
A powerstone gives 100 charges, so the enchanters need to pay less then 2-3k for a powerstone or they lose money on the deal.
How are the enchanters making money on this?

When I was an enchanter.. I'd never buy a powerstone for more than 1k. And I sold charges at between 30 per and 40 per. Sometimes more if Aiakon didn't like the cut of your jib. I made a packet. Selling powerstones at 2k.. I still leave space to make money.

Heh, keep in mind the price was 3,500 gold before the shopkeeper didn't like the buyer's looks so the price went up. As for the 10,000 gold example, it was because the jeweller basically didn't want them to decay...
But damn, I thought the average price for a powerstone was still 1000 per. Doesn't look like it. I must be one of the cheapest jeweller out there. Time to fix that!
Richter2006-03-08 23:38:44
I always sold them at 500gp per.

Powerstones price skyrocked just recently. And you still can find stones for 1k with a bit of luck.
Richter2006-03-09 00:26:23
I thought it was because of figurines, but they stayed at that price. Any idea why?
Vix2006-03-09 00:31:47
Cubes + figurines + gnome event + greedy jewelers = sad alchemist.
Narsrim2006-03-09 00:33:20
I'd say the gnome event.

If your in Serenwilde just ask Deangelo if you need a powerstone ill dish out the gold to buy a bunch of gems and hopefully ill get a powerstone for you. If you want to be more helpful pay for the gems.
Aiakon2006-03-09 09:37:22
Or... how about you all stop undercutting me.. and we just raise the price of powerstones.. thus making all us jewellers RICH.

I wish.
But you know how it is, some people don't care about gold (f.e. if they buy many OOC credits anyway) and prefer to be helpful or something.

We need more gifted Jewelers... unable to find powerstones = unhappy enchanters and alchemists.

Gloves of Mastery: 400 credits
- Halves the drain from energy reserves for enchanters and alchemists.
- Must be worn.
Makes getting those -almost- worth it

Maybe for enchanters, who have no material outlay beyond the powerstones. But I can cut the powerstone cost on a health keg from 3 gold per vial to 1.5 gold per vial! Woo, me!
